Chargers second-round rookie WR Tre Harris opened the year not only trailing the team's top three at the position. He played just five Week 1 snaps vs. 14 for fifth-round classmate KeAndre Lambert-Smith. But that has flipped over the past two weeks, with Harris claiming the No. 4 role in the WR corps. Harris played a season-high 25 snaps in Sunday's win over the Broncos but finished with just one target and no catches.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Harris' snap share (29%) aligned with his Week 2 rate (31%). That, of course, still trailed well behind the team's top three wideouts. Here were their route totals and rates against Denver:
Ladd McConkey |
53 |
100% |
Quentin Johnston |
50 |
94% |
Keenan Allen |
42 |
79% |
Harris | 14 | 26%
|
But that route rate did line Harris up with the co-leaders at tight end for the game (Tyler Conklin and Oronde Gadsden, 15 apiece).
Harris looks like he'll probably need an injury to one of those top three to allow for a fantasy-relevant role. But he's in a pretty good spot in case something does happen, especially compared with a quiet first training camp and preseason.
Dynasty Impact
Harris will be especially worth tracking for dynasty purposes this season. The longer he remains buried in target distribution, the better the chance that he becomes an expendable asset for those you drafted him.
Consider making a run at Harris in your dynasty league at some point this season, especially if his current team is contending.
L.A.'s pass-heavy start to this season has improved the outlook for all Chargers passing-game pieces even beyond this season.
