Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Tampa Bay WR Chris Godwin is not expected to play in Week 6. Godwin popped up on the injury report and did not practice this week with a fibula injury. He missed the first three games of the season recovering from a fractured ankle that also cost him half of the 2024 season.

It's unknowns if this new fibula injury is related to last season's injury, but it is a major concern. Godwin ran a route on 86% of his snaps in Week 4 and drew 10 targets. However, he dipped down to a 79% route rate and 4 targets in Week 5, with his second-half playing time dropping off.
Tampa is also expected to be without Mike Evans (hamstring) in their battle with the 49ers.
Godwin's absence opens the door for Sterling Shepard to play a major role in Week 6. Shepard ranks fourth on Tampa with a 16% target share but becomes a solid flex option in Week 6.
TE Cade Otton is also coming off his best game of the season and should see more opportunities in the passing game.
