Chiefs WR Rashee Rice went 7-32-2 with 10 targets in his first game back from suspension. The third-year player played in his first game since September of 2024 after a torn LCL caused him to miss most of the 2024 season. He appears to have stepped right into the top WR role for the Chiefs once again.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Rice had the most targets on the team with Brashard Smith coming in second with 5 targets, half of Rice’s total. Xavier Worthy went 3-35-0 on 4 targets. With numerous scripted plays to Rice and Mahomes looking at him often as a first read, Rice is a clear start every week, even if he won’t get two scores every time out.
QB Patrick Mahomes continues dealing with 286 yards and 3 passing TDs against the Raiders in the 31-0 shutout. With Mahomes playing some of his best football along with Rice’s talent, he could hover as a top-12 WR option the rest of the way.
The next two weeks continue to be positive for Rice with a match-up against a weak Commanders’ secondary next week and a neutral match-up against the Bills in two weeks. The Chiefs have a difficult fantasy playoff schedule against the Texans, Chargers, and Titans, but the Chiefs may be match-up proof. Trust Rice to help you carry you from here.
