Saints WR Chris Olave was the one shining spot of the Saints’ offense going 5-98-2 on 7 targets. He had the only scores of the entire day for the Saints who only mustered 14 points against the Bears. TE Juwan Johnson went 5-79-0 on seven targets while WR Rashid Shaheed led the team with nine targets only going 4-40-0.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Olave has been the best player on the Saints’ offense as we outlined with his film analysis two weeks ago. The Saints were able to take advantage this week with Olave getting open often against the Bears defense, though little else was working.
Star RB Alvin Kamara only went 11-28-0 on the ground with three catches for a yard. Between his ineffectiveness and the Saints getting behind, the team had to rely on the pass.
Olave might be the only startable piece of the Saints moving forward, but the combination of a poor Saints’ defense and Olave’s talent makes him a startable WR in great match-ups.
The Saints have a positive match-up next week against the Buccaneers followed by two neutral match-ups against the Rams and Panthers after that. Olave should be a solid start until his bye.
Dynasty Impact
Not only is Olave a buy in redraft, but he has plenty of dynasty appeal. At only 25, he still is young enough to excel for the Saints (or another) team consistently and for years to come.
