Best Week 5 Moves From Our Experts: Stash This Intriguing Young WR

Best Week 4 Moves
Whether you're playing redraft or dynasty, knowing what moves to make is crucial to success.
That's why we're having each of our fantasy football experts give you one move to take advantage of this week.
Stash Jalen Coker
Panthers GM Dan Morgan said that Coker would play the slot following the summer trade of Adam Thielen.
No surprise there. Coker ran 61.1% of his rookie-year routes from the inside, per Pro Football Focus. Plus, Round 1 WR Tetairoa McMillan brings prototypical “X” WR traits.
Unfortunately, a quad injury forced an IR stint shortly after Morgan’s comment. So we haven’t seen what Coker can do after a rookie season that included four games of 60+ yards.
Here’s the good news: Coker is now eligible to come off IR. It doesn’t seem like that’ll happen this week or maybe even for Week 6. But a starting role should be his when he's ready.
The Panthers are desperate for a No. 2 receiving option behind McMillan. Xavier Legette’s early-season efficiency suggests he’s still on a Round 1-bust trajectory. He’s also coming off a hamstring injury.
The Panthers need improved play from Bryce Young. But in deeper formats – particularly leagues of 14+ teams – Coker presents a fine stash ahead of the major bye week rush.
Buy Ja’Marr Chase
Cincinnati’s offense can’t be this bad all year, right? RIGHT?!
QB Jake Browning’s first two starts this season have come against the Vikings and Broncos. Those teams sit first and 11th in my Pass Defense Power Rankings.
The schedule lightens going forward, and I expect Browning to be better. If he’s not, we could see Cincinnati make a move for a veteran QB such as Russell Wilson or Kirk Cousins.
This won’t be a bottom-3 pass offense the rest of the way. And Chase’s elite talent hasn’t gone anywhere.
I could see him having a big slump-busting game this weekend against a Lions secondary that will definitely be without CB D.J. Reed and could also miss CB Terrion Arnold.
I don’t think Chase is a top-5 fantasy WR the rest of the way. But I still think he can salvage lower-end WR1 production. See if you can acquire him for a WR2 price this week.
Grab Dillon Gabriel in Superflex
The big QB news of the week has been the benching of Joe Flacco for this third-round rookie. Gabriel was an efficient college passer who offers rushing upside both with designed runs and scrambles. He completed 72.9% of his passes for 3,857 yards and 30 TDs over 14 games. Gabriel also ran for 149 yards and 7 TDs.
If Gabriel keeps that efficiency, the Browns offense could become surprisingly dangerous. WR Jerry Jeudy and TEs David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. offer some short-range options, and the O-line has been blocking well for RB Quinshon Judkins. It’s a better situation than it seems.
Gabriel is a solid superflex stash who could be an instant QB2 if he uses his legs for a handful of rushing fantasy points every week.
If someone else already added him, send over a trade for one of your bench players and see if you can get Gabriel onto your team.
Sell Hollywood Brown
After a couple of down seasons, 2025 looks like a return to form for the Chiefs’ passing attack. Kansas City ranks 12th with 221.8 passing yards per game and 10th in passing DVOA. The Chiefs can’t get their backfield going, so it’s led to a spread-the-ball approach.
Brown has led the way, posting WR26 numbers through four games. However, Brown’s 23% target share ranks 27th in the league, and although he’s known as a speedy downfield weapon, Brown ranks 59th with a 22% air yards share.
Brown's being used closer to the line of scrimmage, rather than as a deep threat. That’s led to some modest numbers. Brown hasn’t topped 45 yards since Week 1 and has been held under 10 PPR points twice.
Xavier Worthy played for the first time since the season opener in Week 4 and immediately led the Chiefs with eight targets and a 16.6-yard ADOT. Rashee Rice is also scheduled to return in Week 7. Rice will take away those shorter looks from Brown, who will be hard-pressed to find enough consistent volume to produce.
Coming off a game where he scored a TD and with injuries and bye weeks factoring in, now is a good time to see what you can get in return.
Sell J.K. Dobbins
Jared and I kinda arrived at this one together as we were talking through the Broncos backfield during our Thursday podcast recording.
Dobbins has been awesome so far, and Monday night found him matching his season-high 16 carries while delivering the first 100-yard rushing game of the Sean Payton Broncos Era. But that masked a sinister development for his fantasy future.
Dobbins’ 44% snap share marked a season low, though that fell just shy of his Week 2 rate. It paired, however, with R.J. Harvey seeing a dramatic increase in usage.
The rookie played a season-high 41% of the total snaps. He logged 14 carries (to Dobbins’ 16) after totaling 13 across his first three games. Harvey also ran two more pass routes than Dobbins and beat him 5-1 in targets.
And it wasn’t just garbage time. Harvey’s first touch came on the first possession, and he stayed mixed in throughout the game.
It makes sense for Denver to keep splitting the backfield as long as both guys perform. That shift in usage won’t be good for Dobbins’ chances of delivering the consistent production he has to this point -- especially if Harvey continues to lead the receiving, Dobbins’ weaker area historically.
