Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb should have posted a much better fantasy line than he did in Sunday's win over the Eagles. He did manage 75 yards on 4 catches, but Lamb drew a team-high 11 targets in the contest. Pro Football Focus charged him with two drops, including one in the end zone. (Others had him for three in the game.) That's a particularly interesting point, because Lamb had a similar issue at Philadelphia in the opener. For the season, PFF has charged Lamb with eight drops in eight games. Six of those have come against the Eagles.
What They're Saying
HC Brian Schottenheimer, via The Dallas Morning News: "CeeDee is not a good player. He's an incredible player. I think the biggest thing for CeeDee is to know we love him, we trust him, the ball is going to keep coming his way. There are some weeks you have great games and other weeks where you're like, 'Hey, I didn't play as good as I can play,' but when we start drawing plays for Kansas City -- I'll give them a heads up -- there will be a lot going to No. 88."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Don't be surprised if Dallas goes Lamb's way early in Thursday's home date with the Chiefs. And don't let this performance alter how you elect to use Lamb going forward.
Week 12 marked the firsst time in five games back that he fell short of 5 receptions. He has averaged 9.6 targets, 5.6 receptions, and 82.0 yards over that span.
Lamb remains an easy weekly start.
