The Kansas City Chiefs signed Clemson TE Jake Briningstool to an Undrafted Free Agent contract after the 2025 NFL Draft. The former four-star recruit started for the Tigers for the last two seasons, totaling 99 catches for 1,028 yards and 12 TDs. Briningstool doesn’t pop in the advanced metrics. Among 21 Combine TEs, he ranked 10th in Dominator Rating, 16th in yards per route, and 19th in Pro Football Focus receiving grade last year. And he registered an underwhelming 6.29 Relative Athletic Score at the Combine. But we like Briningstool’s tape. He has soft hands, can win at all levels of the field, and punishes DBs after the catch. We comped him to Dalton Schultz, who has turned in three top-12 fantasy seasons. Don’t be surprised if Briningstool becomes a fantasy factor over the next few years.
