Jalen Coker Questionable For Week 4

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Lions. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, although it doesn’t sound like he did much in the portions of practice open to media. We’ll look for further updates on Coker, but the late kickoff could leave fantasy owners in a tough spot. WR Xavier Legette (knee) has been ruled out for Week 4. Coker’s absence would leave Brycen Tremayne as Carolina’s No. 2 WR – and WR Tetairoa McMillan and TE Darren Waller as the top two target bets.

Jalen Coker & Xavier Legette Out Wednesday

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) did not practice on Wednesday. He reportedly dodged a serious injury last week, but we're not expecting him to play vs. the Lions on Sunday night. WR Xavier Legette (knee) was also sidelined on Wednesday after missing last week's game. Carolina could be down to Brycen Tremayne as No. 2 WR against Detroit.

        Jalen Coker Active

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. He only got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday, but Coker has been producing through this ankle injury since early in Week 1. He still cracks our top 20 WRs for Week 3. WR Xavier Legette (knee) is inactive today.

Chris Brazzell Needs Season-Ending Knee Surgery

Panthers WR Chris Brazzell will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn LCL in his left knee, The Athletic's Joseph Person reports. Brazzell went down after getting tangled up with a defender in Wednesday's practice. The third-round rookie was competing for the No. 3 WR job behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker. Xavier Legette now becomes the favorite there, though Person says John Metchie and David Moore remain in the mix.

Chris Brazzell Likely to Miss Start of Season

Panthers WR Chris Brazzell suffered a "moderate" LCL tear in his left knee Wednesday, according to multiple reports. He's expected to miss "up to eight weeks." Brazzell is headed for a second opinion. The third-round rookie had missed two practices earlier in the week because of soreness in the same knee.

Panthers Add Speedster Chris Brazzell II to help Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers selected Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell II in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. After a shoulder injury limited him to two games in 2022, Brazzell rebounded in 2023 with 44 catches, 771 yards, and 5 TDs at Tulane. From there, he transferred to Tennessee, but his numbers dipped. Brazzell posted a 29-333-2 line on a poor 50% catch rate, hurt by an ugly 17.1% drop rate. His 1.23 yards per route run ranked 242nd among 260 qualifying WRs. Brazzell put his best work on film in 2025, as he led the SEC in regular-season receiving yards. He cleaned up the drops and turned into one of the nation’s top downfield threats with a 13-509-6 line on deep targets alone. At 6’4, 198 pounds, Brazzell confirmed his speed at the NFL Combine with a 4.37 forty-yard dash.

Jalen Coker Locked in as the No. 2 WR?

Panthers WR Jalen Coker has “more or less solidified himself as the team’s No. 2 WR,” per reporter Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer. You probably remember Coker’s huge playoff game against the Rams: 9 catches, 134 yards, and 1 score on a 23% target share. Going back to Week 10, he ran a clear second among Carolina WRs in route rate, registering an 84% mark. The 24-year-old is now an exclusive rights free agent, but there’s no chance of him getting out of Carolina.

Xavier Legette Back For Week 5

Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and will play vs. the Dolphins on Sunday. Despite the plus matchup, Legette should not be in fantasy lineups. He’s turned 15 targets into 4 catches and 8 yards in two games this season.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (calf) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Patriots. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We haven’t sensed much concern about this injury, but we’ll look for further updates on McMillan and get Carolina’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. WR Xavier Legette (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 4.

        Xavier Legette INACTIVE

Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. Hopefully he wasn’t in your Week 3 fantasy plans. WRs Brycen Tremayne and David Moore figure to soak up most of Legette’s snaps, with WR Hunter Renfrow remaining in the slot.

Tetairoa McMillan Immediately Takes Receiving Lead

Panthers rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan delivered a solid first outing, especially when you consider how poorly his pass offense fared overall. McMillan led group in total snaps (53 of 64), routes (35 of 40), targets (9), receptions (5), and receiving yards (68). He accounted for 27.8% of the team's completions, 44.2% of the receiving yards, and 47.5% of the targeted air yards, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. McMillan was the only Panther to catch more than three passes and the only guy to exceed 32 receiving yards.
