Tetairoa McMillan Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable. There’s elevated risk here -- and McMillan’s matchup got tougher with the return of Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez. But the rookie remains a lower-end WR2 in our Week 4 rankings.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (calf) is expected to play vs. the Patriots tomorrow, ESPN reports. He was held out of Wednesday's practice but put in limited workouts on Thursday and Friday. "McMillan has been emphatic all week he will be ready," ESPN's David Newton writes. The rookie carries a bit more risk than usual with the calf but belongs in the vast majority of fantasy lineups.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (calf) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Patriots. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We haven’t sensed much concern about this injury, but we’ll look for further updates on McMillan and get Carolina’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. WR Xavier Legette (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 4.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (calf) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Patriots this weekend, but we'll see how the rookie is listed on Friday's final injury report.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan missed Wednesday's practice and is on the injury report with a calf. "Just day to day," HC Dave Canales said. "Got a little bit of a calf. Take a look at him tomorrow and go from there." This doesn't sound like a serious issue for the rookie, but his status will need to be tracked closely leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Patriots.

The Panthers stunned the Falcons 30-0 largely due to Carolina's defense, which forced three turnovers. First-round WR Tetairoa McMillian was again Carolina's most effective offensive weapon. McMillian led the Panthers with 3 receptions for 48 scoreless yards in a lukewarm fantasy outing.

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan caught six of his 10 targets for 100 yards in the Panthers' loss to the Cardinals. He led the team in targets and ranked third in catches. A 40-yard catch and run along with a one-handed sideline catch, highlighted the rookie’s great day.

Panthers rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan delivered a solid first outing, especially when you consider how poorly his pass offense fared overall. McMillan led group in total snaps (53 of 64), routes (35 of 40), targets (9), receptions (5), and receiving yards (68). He accounted for 27.8% of the team's completions, 44.2% of the receiving yards, and 47.5% of the targeted air yards, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. McMillan was the only Panther to catch more than three passes and the only guy to exceed 32 receiving yards.

Following the Adam Thielen trade, Panthers GM Dan Morgan confirmed that WR Jalen Coker will play in the slot in 2025, according to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer.

Carolina Panthers rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan (hamstring) returned to practice on Tuesday, according to Joe Person of The Athletic.

Panthers’ rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan is dealing with a minor hamstring injury, according to David Newton of ESPN.

Panthers WR Jalen Coker hasn't done much to stand out in camp so far, according to The Charlotte Observer's Mike Kaye. Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Adam Thielen have been running as Carolina's top three WRs. And Hunter Renfrow has out-played Coker, per Kaye.

Panthers HC Dave Canales complimented the development of QB Bryce Young. “I think the pace of our offensive development, evolution is growing at the pace of Bryce,” Canales said via The Athletic. “And he’s showing such great mastery of what we’re doing that he’s allowing us to really push the envelope and do more things.” Recall that Young was drafted to a Panthers team with HC Frank Reich and OC Thomas Brown. Now, the 24-year-old (in July) will get the benefit of growing in Canales’ system.

Panthers WR Adam Thielen said this week that he’ll consider retiring after the 2025 season. Thielen initially signed with the Vikings as a UDFA back in 2013. He turns 35 in August and is only under contract for the upcoming season.
