Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Jaguars Edge Josh Allen (shoulder) is active for today's game against the Texans. He and the Jaguars' team defense are in a high-upside spot for Week 3.

Jets K Greg Zuerlein (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. He’s a weak fantasy play with the Jets sporting a 16.5-point implied total.

Saints TE Foster Moreau (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Packers. His absence is a slight boost to TE Juwan Johnson's Week 3 fantasy outlook.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. He went from a full practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday and then no practice on Friday. So it’s safe to assume that Hopkins is nowhere near 100% today. He managed just four catches for 40 scoreless yards playing through this ankle injury last week. See where Hopkins sits in the Week 3 WR Rankings.

Lions WR Josh Reynolds (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so we’re not expecting the groin to be an issue today.

Lions RB David Montgomery (thigh) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. RBs Jahmyr Gibbs, Craig Reynolds, and Zonovan Knight are active for Detroit. We’re expecting Gibbs to get at least a slight uptick in rushing volume, with Reynolds soaking up most of the rest of Montgomery’s work. See where the Lions RBs land in the Week 3 Rankings.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (toe) is active for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He’ll play with a steel plate in his shoe so that his injured toe can’t bend as much. It’s safe to assume that St. Brown won’t be at 100% today, but he remains a strong fantasy option.

Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Broncos. We’ll see how big a role rookie RB De’Von Achane plays, but RB Raheem Mostert figures to handle the majority of the work.

Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Lions. Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier will continue to handle 100% of Atlanta’s RB work.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, so a Week 4 return seems likely. A.J. Dillon will again serve as Green Bay’s lead back today after handling 15 carries and one target last week.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Saints. He got in two limited practices this week, but the team continues to play it safe with Watson. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 4. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed will again serve as Green Bay’s top two WRs today.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero hears that Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) is "hopeful" to return for Week 4. "But with a Week 5 bye looming, they could opt for more rest," Pelissero adds. We'll track Ekeler's progress this coming week.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) "has a chance" to play vs. the Seahawks next Monday night, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That'd be a quick return from a high-ankle sprain, but we'll keep a close eye on Barkley's progress this coming week.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs is expected to get "the majority of the work" against the Falcons today. "They are still going to play multiple backs," Pelissero adds. "They don't want to wear Gibbs out." Don't expect 20+ carries for the rookie. But even 12-15 -- along with heavy involvement in the passing game -- would make Gibbs an easy RB1.

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren is in for more work in the running game vs. the Raiders on Sunday night, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. RB Najee Harris is "still very much a big part of their plans," Garafolo adds. We'll see exactly how this backfield shakes out tonight. Harris and Warren sit close to each other in RB3 territory in the Week 3 Rankings.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (calf) is shaping up as a game-time decision for Monday night's game vs. the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "He's been feeling progressively better as we've gone throughout the week," Rapoport says. "Took just a few snaps on Friday, a little bit more on Saturday ... If he plays, he's likely going to play in pain." Between the late kickoff and Burrow's struggles so far, he should be on fantasy benches this week. WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are worth keeping in starting lineups in most cases, although they'll move down the WR Rankings if QB Jake Browning ends up starting.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (toe) is "optimistic" that he'll be able to play vs. the Falcons today. It's not as good as a "will play" report, but St. Brown can stay penciled into Week 3 fantasy lineups for now. We'll get Detroit's inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (toe) is expected to play vs. the Bears on Sunday, according to insider Jordan Schultz. "Toney, I’m told, worked out Saturday and quelled any concern the team may have had," Schultz adds. "The medical staff will take one more look in the morning, but Toney will be a go barring anything unexpected." Toney, of course, was already playing limited snaps before this new toe injury, so it's tough to imagine him in a big role tomorrow. He's not a recommended Week 3 fantasy starter.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Bears on Sunday, per insider Jordan Schultz. "The team will re-evaluate in the morning just to be sure, but I’m told Pacheco had a good workout Saturday morning," Schultz tweets. Pacheco gets a pristine matchup as a big home favorite against a bad Chicago defense. But he missed a lot of time this offseason after a pair of surgeries and is now dealing with this hamstring, so it's tough to imagine Pacheco handling a huge workload tomorrow. See where he sits in the Week 3 RB Rankings.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs) will play vs. the Panthers on Sunday, according to insider Jordan Schultz. Metcalf was a full participant in Friday's practice and should play his usual role tomorrow.
