Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders WR Davante Adams delivered an 8-177-2 receiving line in Sunday's win over the Chargers. Those numbers accounted for 40% of Raiders targets, 50% of completions, 71% of the receiving yards and 67% of the offense's total TDs. WR Mack Hollins checked in as the 2nd-leading receiver with 5-35 on 9 targets. RB Josh Jacobs (2) and TE Foster Moreau (1) claimed QB Derek Carr's remaining 3 completions. The Raiders now visit the Rams on Thursday night.

For the 2nd straight week, Raiders RB Josh Jacobs cast aside a "questionable" tag and delivered a big game. Despite reporter warnings that the team would need to manage Jacobs' calf injury, he racked up 144 yards and a TD on 26 carries in Sunday's win over the Chargers. Jacobs is working on a streak of 3 straight 100+ yard games and hasn't logged fewer than 21 carries since Week 9. He added 2 catches for 6 yards Sunday. RBs Zamir White and Amber Abdullah combined for just 3 touches against the Chargers. Week 14 brings a matchup with a Rams defense that expects to miss Aaron Donald for the 2nd straight game. The short turnaround could challenge Jacobs' calf ... though it looks like a calf-questionable Jacobs might be the best version of him.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler managed only 35 yards on 10 carries in Sunday's matchup with a soft Raiders defense. It marked his 3rd outing among the past 4 games and 5th among the past 7 with less than 40 rushing yards. As usual, Ekeler made up for it with 67 yards on 5 receptions (among 6 targets). He did not find the end zone in a game that included just 1 offensive TD for his team. RB Joshua Kelley added 30 yards on 7 carries as the only other RB contributor.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert posted his 2nd-largest passing-yardage total of the season Sunday, throwing for 335 yards in a loss to the Raiders. He completed 28 of 47 throws (59.6%), finding WR Keenan Allen for the offense's only TD. Allen posted a 6-88-1 receiving line on a team-high 14 targets. WR Josh Palmer led the team with 7 catches among 11 targets and totaled 60 yards. TE Gerald Everett added 5 catches for 80 yards among 6 targets. The Chargers host Miami in Week 14. We'll see whether WR Mike Williams (ankle) can make it back for that contest.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow threw for 286 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Chiefs. He found Tee Higgins and RB Chris Evans for scores, adding a rushing TD from 4 yards out to kick off the scoring. Burrow took 11 rushing attempts for 46 yards, his largest total since Week 1. Now comes a Week 14 rematch with a Cleveland team that embarrassed the Bengals in a 32-13 Week 8 win.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins caught 1 of QB Joe Burrow's 2 TD passes in Sunday's win over the Chiefs. That accompanied just 3 catches for 35 yards among 5 targets. Higgins nearly added a 2nd TD catch but just missed getting his feet down inbounds. Week 14 brings a rematch with the Browns.

Bengals RB Samaje Perine ran for 106 yards on 21 carries in Sunday's win over the Chiefs. He added 6 catches for 49 yards among 7 targets, ranking 2nd on the team in both targets and receptions. Perine watched Chris Evans claim the only RB TD, on an 8-yard catch. QB Joe Burrow supplied the team's only rushing score. We'd bet on Joe Mixon being ready to return in Week 14 (vs. Cleveland) after missing the past 2 games with a concussion.

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase returned from 4 games off for a hip injury to lead the Bengals in targets (8), receptions (7) and receiving yards (97) in Sunday's win over the Chiefs. Chase now gets his 1st matchup this year with a Browns team that limited him to 6-49 receiving among 13 targets in their lone full meeting last year. (Chase played just 9 snaps in the regular-season finale, when Cincinnati benched most starters after clinching.)

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco ran for 66 yards and a TD on 14 carries in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, adding 16 yards on 2 receptions. RB Jerick McKinnon carried 8 times for 51 yards and caught a 2-yard TD among 2 receptions for 9 yards. Kansas City leaned more on the run, handing to RBs 22 times vs. just 27 Patrick Mahomes pass attempts. Week 14 holds a Denver defense that has been a worse RB-scoring matchup than Cincinnati. But after that comes better matchups with Houston and Seattle.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for a season-low 223 yards on 16-of-27 passing in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. K.C. leaned more toward the run than usual, going 55.5% pass vs. 44.5% run. Mahomes threw just 1 TD pass for the 2nd week in a row, finding RB Jerick McKinnon from 2 yards out in the 2nd quarter. Mahomes did, at least, run for a 3-yard TD in the 3rd quarter to help his fantasy line. Next comes a Denver defense that has been tough on the pass for much of the year. Mahomes threw for 184 and 270 in last year's 2 meetings with the Broncos.

Rams RB Cam Akers easily led Sunday's backfield in the loss to the Seahawk, rushing for 60 yards and 2 TDs on 17 attempts. Kyren Williams handled the only 3 other RB carries for the team. He watched his lone target fall incomplete. Akers added a catch for no gain as he beat Williams 19-11 in routes, according to Pro Football Focus. This backfield remains wildly inconsistent and near-impossible to predict for fantasy use. The Rams do get an upside matchup, though, with the Raiders on Thursday night.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 367 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams, setting a new career high for yardage. WRs Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf each had big lines. Lockett delivered 9-128-1 receiving on a team-high 12 targets. Metcalf added 8-127-1 on 8 targets. TE Noah Want claimed the 3rd of Smith's TD throws, catching 4 balls for 42 yards in all. Week 14 holds a decent matchup with the Panthers.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown caught 8 balls for 119 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's beatdown of the team that traded him in April. Brown led the team with 10 targets, notching scores from 40 and 29 yards out. His longer TD came a play after Brown appeared to score from the same distance but just missed getting a 2nd foot down inbounds. WR DeVonta Smith added 5-102-1 receiving, averaging 20.4 yards per catch. Philly's WRs face another soft secondary in their Week 14 matchup with the Giants.

QB Jalen Hurts and the Eagles couldn't find much running room Sunday against the Titans' league-leading rush defense. But he dominated Tennessee through the air. Hurts threw for 380 yards and 3 TDs on 29-of-39 passing. He hit WR A.J. Brown for 2 scores and WR Devonta Smith for the other. Hurts' only worrisome remaining matchup lies in Week 16 at Dallas, which limited him to 182 total yards (and 2 TD passes) in a Week 6 Eagles win.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders gained just 24 yards on 10 carries in Sunday's win over Tennessee, the league's toughest run D on the year. He did save his fantasy line with a 4th-quarter TD from 3 yards out. Sanders also caught both of his targets for 14 yards. RB Boston Scott carried 6 times for 16 yards and caught a pass for 5. RB Kenneth Gainwell added a 3-38 receiving line on 4 targets and 3 carries for 15 yards. The Philly backfield gets a better matchup with the Giants in Week 14.

Titans RB Derrick Henry carried just 11 times for 30 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. It marked his 4th straight game with 3.1 yards or less per carry. Henry added only 8 yards on 2 receptions. Week 14 holds his 1st matchup of the year with Jacksonville, which allowed Henry 130 and 215 yards in their past 2 meetings. The Jaguars also allowed Detroit's top 2 RBs to combine for 97 yards and 2 TDs Sunday. Even if Henry can't rebound there, he'll still face high-upside matchups with the Chargers and Texans the following 2 weeks. So most fantasy football teams will have to just roll with him.

Giants rookie TE Daniel Bellinger saw his 1st game action Sunday since a Week 7 fracture to the orbital bone around his left eye. He caught 5 balls for 24 yards against the Commanders, tying for 2nd on the team in receptions. Bellinger jumped back into a full-time role, trailing only QB Daniel Jones in snaps played among skill-position players and ranking 3rd on the team in routes. That makes Bellinger worth a look in deeper PPR leagues going forward. His best matchups sit in weeks 16 (Minnesota) and 17 (Indianapolis).

Giants WR Darius Slayton led the team in targets (8), catches (6) and receiving yards (90) in Sunday's tie with he Commanders. He accounted for shares of 25.8%, 24% and 45% in those 3 categories. WR Isaiah Hodgins claimed the team's only TD reception. Slayton gets a tough draw against the Eagles' pass defense in Week 14.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for just 200 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's tie with the Commanders. He did prove efficient, completing 25 of 31 passes but took 4 sacks and lost a fumble. Jones also led the team with 71 rushing yards on 12 carries. He gets a tough matchup with the Eagles in Week 14.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley carried 18 times for 63 yards and a TD in Sunday's tie with the Commanders. It was a predictably sluggish performance (3.5 per rush) against 1 of the league's toughest run defenses. Barkley's carry total beat each of his previous 2 games, at least. He also caught 5 passes (for 18 yards), his most since Week 1. Week 14 brings the season's 1st matchup with the Eagles.
