Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Panthers TE Ja’Tavion Sanders (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He’s avoided IR for now, but we haven’t heard a timeline for his return. Sanders’ absence leaves Tommy Tremble as Carolina’s top TE, but he’d be a desperation fantasy start.

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. That leaves Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, and David Moore as Carolina’s clear top three receivers against the league’s 27th-ranked WR defense.

Giants DL Dexter Lawrence dislocated his left elbow in Thursday's loss to the Cowboys and will miss the rest of the season. HC Brian Daboll called the issue "long term" on Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We'll see about Lawrence's outlook for 2025 but don't expect it to be that long-term an issue.

The Bears have fired HC Matt Eberflus in the wake of Thursday's late debacle against the Lions. He finished 14-32 across two seasons and nearly three-quarters of his third. Chicago has named Thomas Brown interim HC, just three games after he was elevated from passing-game coordinator to interim OC.

Giants TE Theo Johnson suffered a foot injury in Thursday's loss to the Cowboys that's expected to end his season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday morning that he expects WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) to be ready for the Week 14 Monday nighter against the Bengals. Take Jones' medical report with a hefty grain of salt, but it's better than the alternative. We'll keep you posted on Lamb's status when the Cowboys get back to work next week.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) is out for Sunday night’s game vs. the 49ers. He didn’t practice all week and didn’t seem close to playing in this one, leaving him iffy for Week 14. Kincaid’s absence will again leave Dawson Knox as Buffalo’s lead TE. He posted a 4-40-0 line on six targets and an 82% route rate last time out. But he doesn’t crack TE1 territory in the Week 13 Rankings against the 49ers’ sixth-ranked TE defense.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) is expected to play vs. the Texans this weekend, HC Doug Pederson said Friday. Lawrence will be playing through a significant AC joint injury to his left shoulder that might eventually require surgery. It's his non-throwing shoulder, but there's still some risk that Lawrence takes a shot and is forced to exit. Against a Texans squad ranked fourth in pass defense DVOA, Lawrence would be a shaky Week 13 fantasy play. But his return is excellent news for WR Brian Thomas Jr. and TE Evan Engram.

Packers QB Jordan Love completed 21 of 28 passes for 274 yards and 2 TDs in Thursday’s win over Miami. High efficiency was key, as Love finished with fewer than 30 attempts for the third straight week.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle caught 4 of 4 targets for 53 yards in Thursday’s loss to Green Bay. He added a two-point conversion on an impressive end zone catch.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was sidelined for much of the second half of Thursday's win over the Giants. He wound up with a season-low 67% snap rate. HC Mike McCarthy said afterward that Lamb has a shoulder injury but gave no other details. This is presumably the same shoulder that Lamb hurt back in Week 8. He didn't miss any time then, but we'll see if this latest issue threatens his Week 14 availability. Lamb at least gets 11 days to heal up with the Cowboys hosting on Bengals on Monday Night Football.

Giants WR Malik Nabers caught eight of those 13 targets for 69 yards. Lock didn’t show much more promise than any other Giants QB, throwing a pick six and running for a TD. Nabers’ talent earns him the targets, but inaccurate passes from poor QB play have continued to hold him back.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb only caught two of his six targets for 39 yards. With the Cowboys emphasizing the rushing game, the targets simply weren’t enough for Lamb to overcome the poor QB play from Cooper Rush.

Cowboys’ RB Rico Dowdle rushed 22 times for 112 yards and a TD to lead the team to victory over the Giants. It was the first time in his career that he has had over 100 rushing yards in a game. He also caught all three targets for 11 yards.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) did not practice on Thursday. He'll need to get in at least a limited practice tomorrow to have a chance to play vs. the Broncos on Monday night. We'll update Tillman's status again on Friday afternoon, but fantasy owners should be making other plans for Week 13.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a shot to make it back for this weekend's showdown vs. the Ravens. We'll see what Smith does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Commanders WR Noah Brown (knee) did not practice on Thursday. He wasn't on the injury report on Wednesday, so it's unclear when the knee issue popped up. We'll see if Brown practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Titans.

Titans WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready to go for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders.

Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Seahawks WRs D.K. Metcalf (shoulder) and Tyler Lockett (knee) missed practice again on Thursday. Both guys are seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Jets. That'd leave Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jake Bobo, and Cody White as Seattle's top three WRs. Check back tomorrow for another update on Metcalf and Lockett.
