Raiders TE Brock Bowers is currently sidelined with a sore foot, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur. The rookie missed Saturday's preseason game and remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. There's been no update from the team on the extent of Bowers' injury or his timeline for return.
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
This one bears monitoring over the next couple of weeks. Bowers had an exciting preseason debut, lining up all over the formation. It's clear the Raiders have big plans for him right out of the gate -- but he needs to get back on the field with the season opener 18 days away.
Stay tuned for updates.
Injury History
Bowers arrives to the NFL with a relatively clean bill of health. His only notable college injury was a 2023 ankle sprain that required tightrope surgery. Bowers only missed two games.
Rankings Movement
We're not moving Bowers in the TE rankings right now. He sits 11th in our baseline projections; ninth in ceiling projections.
Projected ADP Movement
Bowers' ADP has been holding steady in Round 9 for most of the summer. Don't expect that to shift much unless we get more negative news about this foot issue.
Other Winners and Losers
TE Michael Mayer would be the big winner if Bowers misses regular-season time. He'd turn into a full-time player and have a shot to produce as a low-end TE1.
