Packers WR Jayden Reed was added to the injury report after a limited practice on Friday, according to HC Matt LaFleur. It appears Reed is still in line to play on Sunday for the Packers, but it adds another layer of caution to starting Reed while QB Malik Willis is also starting.
Reed cropped up on the injury report on Friday, which is never a positive sign. He was only limited in practice, so it may just be a precaution to satisfy the NFL and the injury report requirements.
LaFleur did not seem overly dire when addressing the media and discussing Reed's injury, but he did mention that it was a calf/shin issue.
Ultimately, Reed isn't a great fantasy option this weekend with QB Jordan Love injured and Willis starting for the team. Imn our Week 2 Rankings, we have Reed as a WR4 at best, so more of a flex play than a surefire starting WR for your fantasy team.
The addition of the injury only instills that you should look for other potential options in place of Reed, even if the shin/calf injury only slightly hampers him while playing.
We will update reports for the weekend about Reed and his potential playing status, including if he is Active or Inactive on Sunday.
