Patriots QB Drake Maye returned from a concussion to post 206 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs against Tennessee. He starred as a rusher with 95 yards on 8 attempts.

What They're Saying

Here's Maye on his approach to running post-concussion:

“I’m not gonna change the player that I am. I passed the (concussion) protocol… if they’re dropping out guys and there’s some rush lanes up front, I’m gonna make ‘em pay.”

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Stunningly, Maye accounted for 95.5% of New England’s total yardage.

Maye also made the highlight play of Week 9. With time expiring and the Pats down 7, Maye dropped back, evaded several sacks, and hit Rhamondre Stevenson in the end zone.

One of Maye’s INTs came in OT, as he forced a deep ball into double coverage. Earlier, he threw a ball over the middle with pressure in his face.

Ultimately, Maye continued to show he has the makeup of a fantasy difference maker. The lack of a respectable supporting case might limit the passing ceiling in some weeks, but consider Maye a mid-range QB2 for Sunday’s matchup in Chicago.
