Commanders WR Terry McLaurin caught just one pass for 10 yards in Thursday night's loss to the Eagles. He was invisible for most of the night, drawing just two targets on 32 Jayden Daniels pass attempts. The first fell incomplete on a crosser in the third quarter. McLaurin finally got on the board with a 10-yard grab in the fourth quarter.
The biggest takeaway here is to be wary of starting WRs against the Eagles. Philadelphia entered this one ranked fifth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to the position. They've been particularly stingy lately. The Eagles haven't allowed a single WR to top 54 receiving yards over their last six games. That stretch has included games against Ja'Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb.
As for McLaurin, he was due for a dud after running hot all season. He entered Week 11 with a 71% catch rate and 15.1 yards per catch -- tough marks to maintain.
That efficiency had McLaurin sitting 15th among WRs in PPR points per game. He ranked 25th in expected points per game, though, which is a better approximation of his fantasy value going forward.
McLaurin gets a prime bounce-back spot in Week 12 against the Cowboys' 21st-ranked WR defense. The next five weeks include negative matchups against the Titans and Eagles, neutral draws vs. the Saints and Falcons, and a Week 14 bye.
