Saints Sign UDFA RB Marcus Yarns to a Contract
The New Orleans Saints signed Deleware RB Marcus Yarns to an Undrafted Free Agent Contract after the 2025 NFL Draft. A zero-star recruit, Yarns spent all four of his seasons at Delaware. Now, most small school players with an NFL future have eye-popping stats at their level of competition. Yarns never had a 1,000-yard rushing season, but his receiving ability (including 13 receiving TDs over the past three years) and athleticism show NFL potential. At the Combine, the 193-pounder recorded a 4.45 forty, a 37.5" vertical, and a 122" broad jump. Those were all 74th percentile or better finishes among Combine RBs since 1999. His long speed is evident on tape, but a lack of size figures to limit his NFL workloads.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
As a small school prospect, Yarns failed to meet the expectations that would have allowed him to be drafted.
Though he had smooth movements, never having over 1,000 yards at the FCS level means Yarns was not dominant enough to make the draft.
The Saints did draft RB Devin Neal in the sixth round, but Yarns more fits the pass-catching RB Alvin Kamara type than a bigger one who can bang between the tackles.
Yarns has no redraft or dynasty value at this time.
