49ers WR Ricky Pearsall is missing OTAs with a hamstring injury, HC Kyle Shanahan said. Shanahan called the issue a "tweak," so it doesn't sound serious. But he also said that Pearsall likely won't get back on the field until training camp.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Less than ideal for a second-year WR who was limited to 11 games as a rookie.
Pearsall finds plenty of opportunity heading into 2025, with WR Deebo Samuel gone and WR Brandon Aiyuk likely to miss the start of the season after last year's multi-ligament knee injury. And he flashed late in his rookie season, catching 14 balls for 210 yards and two scores over San Francisco's final two games.
The hamstring is probably a non-issue as long as he's ready to rock come training camp — but we know that hammies can be tricky for skill-position players. We'll keep an eye on Pearsall when camp opens. He needs reps in this offense and with QB Brock Purdy.
