Commanders WR Terry McLaurin was a no-show for the start of training camp as he angles for a new contract. He’s entering the final year of his deal and already skipped the offseason program. Both sides have said the right things publicly about wanting to get something done, but there’s clearly still plenty of daylight between them.
What They're Saying
GM Adam Peters: "Without a doubt, I think everybody in this building values Terry very much. We knew that coming in and we know that even more after spending a year with him. ... We'll do whatever we can to get a deal done."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
It’s still mid-July. McLaurin’s a proven vet, returning to the same offense with the same QB as last year. It's far too early to panic about his 2025 fantasy outlook. We're not moving him in the WR rankings right now.
McLaurin wants to stay in Washington, and the Commanders have the cap space to give him a raise. We're still fully expecting this deal to get done. If he’s still holding out a few weeks from now, we'll start to assess the fantasy football impact on QB Jayden Daniels and Washington's other skill-position players.
