Pearsall Off the PUP and On the Field

The 49ers activated WR Ricky Pearsall from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform List. He previously was placed on the PUP list with a hamstring injury, but that appears to have cleared up. Pearsall drew rave reviews for his first practice as the 49ers try to replace the hole left by WR Deebo Samuel who is now on the Commanders.

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

The 49ers WR situation requires major monitoring throughout camp.

Not only did they trade away Samuel, but WR Brandon Aiyuk poses a question with his knee injury recovery.

Pearsall along with WRs Jauan Jennings and Demarcus Robinson will look to fill the void early in the season.

Jennings looks to be a safe bet as he was stellar filling in the Aiyuk role last year with 77 catches for 975 yards and six TDs.

But Pearsall also flashed, closing out last season with a WR7 and WR14 performance in PPR.

After being a first round pick in 2024, Pearsall holds a high ceiling if he assumes the Samuel role.
