Jennings, who is also seeking a new contract, hasn’t practiced all week. The regular season is still over a month out, but it’s concerning that he has now aggravated the calf strain he suffered back in June.
With WR Brandon Aiyuk still working his way back from his own injury, second-year WR Ricky Pearsall should see all the targets he can handle from QB Brock Purdy until Jennings is ready to roll.
Pearsall showed flashes to end his rookie season, averaging 9.0 targets, 7.0 receptions, 105 receiving yards, and 23.8 PPR points per game during the final two weeks.
We’ll update Jennings' status as we learn more.
