In case you forgot amidst all the training camp buzz and preseason action, Commanders WR Terry McLaurin is still holding out. There have been no positive reports about progress toward a new deal. And OC Kliff Kingsbury says it's time for McLaurin to get on the field.
What They're Saying
Kingsbury: "I think we're kind of at that point to where we need to start getting those guys, when they're available, out there and jelling to see where we are as an offense."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Washington's season opener against the Giants is 23 days away. We're still not projecting McLaurin's holdout to run into the regular season, but the missed practice time is starting to become a concern
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb held out until August 26 last year -- and then got off to a slow-ish start. He played a reduced 71% of Dallas' offensive snaps in Week 1 and ranked 18th among WRs in PPR points over the first three weeks. Lamb's connection with QB Dak Prescott was noticeably off. The duo connected on just 54% of their targets across those first three games, after Lamb topped a 65% catch rate in each of his first four seasons.
We're nudging McLaurin down the WR rankings today and will continue to move him down the longer this holdout lasts.
