Broncos rookie RB RJ Harvey managed just 12 yards on four carries in Sunday's win over the Eagles. He added 3 receptions for 18 yards among three targets. That did mark his third straight game with at least 3 catches, but Harvey's playing time also reverted badly after what seemed like a breakthrough Week 4 vs. Cincinnati.
What They're Saying
HC Sean Payton after the Week 4 game: "I think both of those guys we're super excited about. I think you can -- I've said this a million times -- I think you can feed two and feature two. I think both were exceptional the other night."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Soooo ...?
Harvey matched his season low of 15 total snaps at Philadelphia. And he set a new season low at 20.3% snap share.
Making it even more frustrating, Denver got Tyler Badie back involved. Check out his snap shares through five games:
What happened? The Broncos are telling us they still like Badie in passing situations. Sunday's game marked the first time this season that Denver fell behind an opponent by multiple scores. And Badie wound up beating Dobbins and Harvey in total pass snaps and routes:

It's at least a slight positive for Harvey that he still led the trio in targets. But it's clear we'll need to be a little more patient with the rookie than Monday's game made it seem.
One more positive: The Broncos will probably be favored each of the next five weeks. Here's that schedule:
- at Jets
- vs. Giants
- vs. Cowboys
- at Texans
- vs. Raiders
After that comes a home date with the Chiefs (we'll see) and then a Week 12 bye.
Playing Harvey in Week 6 will be risky, but good usage there could make him a Week 7 option.
The rookie's role did seem to open similarly at Philadelphia. His first carry came on Denver's second possession, and he had a 6-yard catch in the second quarter negated by a false-start penalty.
Badie, meanwhile, didn't touch the ball until the 2-minute drill at the end of the first half.
Other Winners & Losers
Dobbins comes away from Week 5 as a mild winner.
The previous game made it look like Harvey was siphoning more of the veteran's work. But Dobbins' usage at Philly positions him as the backfield's one clear constant.
Dobbins went 20-79-1 rushing, ceding just five carries to other RBs. We already knew he was more limited as a receiver, so it's easier for a Dobbins manager to absorb the Badie reappearance.
That upcoming string of positive matchups should be good for Dobbins' fantasy usability. At the same time, this shared backfield helps limit the receiving upside and makes Dobbins a potential sell if you can upgrade your roster with such a move.
