NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is "week-to-week" with an MCL sprain that knocked him out late in Monday night's win over the Commanders. The injury occurred on Kansas City's third-to-last offensive play of the game.

Kareem Hunt would almost certainly take the lead ball-carrying role with Pacheco out, but rookie Brashard Smith should see more work as well.
Smith logged just three carries to Hunt's nine against the Commanders and saw no targets for the first time since Week 1.
The rookie ran just five routes against Washington, trailing well behind Pacheco's lead (24) at the position. Hunt saw the only RB target for the game, despite running a mere nine routes.
Hunt makes for an attractive RB2 option in Week 9 at Buffalo, which has ranked among the league's worst run defenses this season.
Smith presents some upside for deep PPR leagues, but we'll have to see how large a role he claims in Pacheco's absence.
