2026 NFL Mock Draft Seven Rounds: Find the Next Fantasy Superstar
Wanna Find the Next Rookie Sleeper?
Trading for 2026 rookie picks feels risky. Will this be a strong skill position class? Which positions will deliver real value ... and which are filled with busts?
Analysts will spout off about the strengths and weaknesses of a class, but putting it in context of other positions helps predict draft capital.
Plus many of those analysts haven't even watched these players.
I have.
Why You Should Listen to Me
This year marks the 23rd NFL Draft I have scouted and covered. I've been producing seven-round mock drafts and rankings since 2004.
Anyone can sling out a new mock draft. I bring top-10 accuracy in Big Board projection (better than Mel Kiper, Daniel Jeremiah, and Lance Zierlein). I've even won the contest twice (only seven people have ever been multi-year winners).
If you want to cut through the noise and find out where players will go in the NFL Draft, this is the place.
The goal this far out isn't pure accuracy, though. I want to help you get familiar with players, traits, and potential draft capital.
Our devy rankings outline the upside of this class against 2027 and 2028 as well.
Getting insight on these players well before the NFL Draft gives you a distinct advantage over your league.
TIP
Use our Trade Value Chart to gauge the value of a 2026 1st
Round 1
1) Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
Mendoza won the Heisman on an undefeated season and national championship. His ball placement and toughness place him on top of the draft (and he isn’t afraid to scramble). He may not have the upside of recent first overall picks such as Trevor Lawrence and Caleb Williams, but Mendoza could be a solid fantasy contributor with the right offense. (And Brock Bowers certainly won't hurt.)
2) New York Jets: David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech
Bailey is best pure pass rusher in the draft with an excellent 14.5 sacks in 2025. He's a safer option than Ohio State LB Arvell Reese (who also appears likely to play on the edge in the pros). Bailey won’t give you much against the run, but he pretty much dominated all the top OTs in this class.
3) Arizona Cardinals: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami
Another stout O-line option should benefit the Cardinals' new offense. This athletic mover could prove especially worthwhile if run-leaning QB Malik Willis takes over -- or even if Arizona sticks with Kyler Murray. Mauigoa can play inside as well.
4) Tennessee Titans: Arvell Reese, LB/Edge, Ohio State
Reese flashed early in the season with 6.5 sacks over the first eight games. His pass rush fell off late, but the athletic upside of an off-ball LB with edge capabilities will be enticing. The Titans could use more pass rush to solidify their defense, and Reese offers Micah Parsons-type upside.
5) New York Giants: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
Downs ranks among the three best safeties I have ever scouted, since I began analyzing the draft in 2004 (joining Sean Taylor and Eric Berry). He can play deep in coverage or in the box against the run. Downs' man-to-man capabilities make him a fit for any defense. Expect an immediate impact on a Giants’ unit that needs a difference maker.
6) Cleveland Browns: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
The Browns' entire starting O-line could hit free agency this offseason, so rebuilding will be key. Fano presents excelleng technique and stays loose in his kickslide. He can play either LT or RT, giving the Browns versatility.
7) Washington Commanders: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
The top WR in the class could go as a high as fourth or fall into the 20s. Tate leads the group in versatility, as he can play "X," flanker, or slot. Tate’s catch radius and toughness make him an ideal downfield threat for Jayden Daniels. Tate’s versatility pairs well with Terry McLaurin.
It might not be the ideal landing spot for Tate’s fantasy output with a No. 1 WR in place and a rushing QB.
8) New Orleans Saints: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
Love sits as the undisputed top RB in the class with three-down ability. Alvin Kamara’s age (31 in July) and injuries (3+ lost games each of the past three years) leave the Saints needing a playmaker to take pressure off QB Tyler Shough. Landing on the Saints' ascending offense should give Love immediate RB1 value.
Check out our full profile on Love.
9) Kansas City Chiefs: Rueben Bain, Edge, Miami
Bain could go as high as second to the Jets, but his arm length may keep some teams away. The film on Bain looks excellent. He's a tenacious pass rusher with a variety of moves who can pressure the QB consistently. And Bain still has room to grow as a player.
10) Cincinnati Bengals: Akheem Mesidor, Edge, Miami
Mesidor will turn 25 before the draft, but he outplayed Bain often throughout the season. His size and versatility should allow Mesidor to step in immediately as an impact pass rusher who can even move inside on third downs.
11) Miami Dolphins: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
Delane took a huge step forward after transferring to LSU. He shut down every opposing WR in 2025, using a combination of physicality and athleticism. As the Dolphins rebuild, going with the best player available should be the approach.
12) Dallas Cowboys: Keldric Faulk, Edge, Auburn
Faulk came into 2025 with top-5 potential but had an inconsistent year. At 290 pounds with an explosive first step, he could be utilized in multiple roles. Faulk’s upside allows him to replace Demarcus Lawrence’s role for the Cowboys.
13) Los Angeles Rams (from Atlanta Falcons): Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
McNeil-Warren makes for an ideal box safety who continued progressing in coverage throughout the season. He would help the Rams as a run defender but can also cover TEs and slot WRs.
14) Baltimore Ravens: Caleb Banks, DL, Florida
Banks has aced the offseason process so far with an excellent Senior Bowl following up a productive season. Banks has a nasty bull rush with a low pad level that should help create interior pressure for the Ravens.
15) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
TE Cade Otton will likely head to free agency, so the Bucs need to find a replacement. Sadiq would make for a pass-catching upgrade at the position.
Not only does he present savvy route running, but Sadiq’s athleticism and high-pointing are unmatched in this class. He could make an immediate impact
Competing for passes with Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin may not help Sadiq’s fantasy production early on, but the offense should throw the ball enough to keep him involved.
Check out our full profile on Kenyon Sadiq.
16) New York Jets (from Indianapolis Colts): Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
Tyson offers a dynamic weapon who excels in the short screen game, creating yards after the catch. Tyson’s ball tracking and body control also allows him to win contested balls down the field.
The Jets offense desperately needs to enhance one of the league's worst WR groups (outside Garrett Wilson). The QB uncertainty would hurt Tyson’s fantasy appeal at least a bit, but that aspect can change quickly.
Check out our full profile on Jordyn Tyson.
17) Detroit Lions: T.J. Parker, Edge, Clemson
The Lions have struggled to find an impact pass rusher to join Aidan Hutchinson. Parker could fit with heavy hands and a strong bull rush. Parker sets the edge well and can help contain outside runners.
18) Minnesota Vikings: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon
With Harrison Smith likely retiring, the Vikings will need a replacement. Thieneman could be a direct replacement as a strong playmaker who had 6 INTs as a true freshman at Purdue. In 2025 at Oregon, Thieneman grew against the run and still has room to improve into an elite DB.
19) Carolina Panthers: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
Only one off-ball LB has gone in the top-20 since 2022 (Jack Campbell), but Styles may be the next. He's an elite athlete who played safety early in his college career, delivers strong coverage, and improved his play diagnosis in 2025. Styles could be the top IDP rookie from this draft.
20) Dallas Cowboys (from Green Bay Packers): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
The Cowboys' secondary remains a major weakness. Getting McCoy would add a physical player who can cover top WRs. McCoy’s stiffness could limit him, but his instincts and ball skills rank among the best in the class.
21) Pittsburgh Steelers: Makai Lemon, WR, USC
The Steelers are desperate for more weapons, especially if Aaron Rodgers returns at QB. Lemon could fall a bit if evaluators view him as a slot-only WR. New HC Mike McCarthy has traditionally prioritized the position -- he pushed for drafting CeeDee Lamb in 2020 and then ran him almost entirely from the slot -- and Lemon could fill that role.
The uncertainty at QB makes this a shaky landing spot, but Lemon could excel in a Lamb role if the Steelers find a QB in 2027.
Check out our full profile on Makai Lemon.
22) Los Angeles Chargers: Kayden McDonald, DL, Ohio State
McDonald kept the Buckeye defense stout in 2025. A strong two-gap run defender, McDonald flashed pass rush from the interior as well. He would solidify the Chargers’ front.
23) Philadelphia Eagles: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
Proctor could go much higher, but this feels like what the Eagles just luck into. Proctor’s long arms and massive body makes him hard to move off his spot. He has the athleticism to eventually replace Lane Johnson.
24) Cleveland Browns (from Jacksonville Jaguars): KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
Concepcion’s speed and athleticism makes him extremely difficult to cover. He will likely excel from the slot and instantly be the most athletic player on the Cleveland's offense.
The Browns desperately need someone who can create on his own and take the defense's focus. Concepcion fits.
Check out our full profile on KC Concepcion.
25) Chicago Bears: Peter Woods, DL, Clemson
The Bears spent most of their draft building offensive weapons last year. Now, they can turn to the defense. Woods hasn’t hit his peak yet but shows great instincts and vision in stopping the run.
26) Buffalo Bills: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
The Bills' search for a WR to help Josh Allen will continue in 2026. Boston could become what they hoped Keon Coleman would be: an outside WR who can win against top CBs.
Boston’s blend of size and route running should inject some life into the Bills passing game. The upside of the offense could make Boston coveted in rookie drafts, perhaps even moving up to the 1.05. But Allen’s rushing and James Cook’s volume could limit the potential for a Bills’ WR.
27) San Francisco 49ers: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
Freeling needs to get more consistent to be a starting NFL OT. But he brings size, length, and burst off the line gives him franchise LT potential. The 49ers can bring Freeling along behind Trent Williams (if they figure out Williams' contract).
28) Houston Texans: Olaivavega Ioane, IOL, Penn State
Ioane excels as a pulling guard who should help protect C.J. Stroud and help improve the rushing game. A potential replacement at LG, Ioane’s punch and footwork should help elevate the Texans O-line.
29) Los Angeles Rams: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
Simpson doesn’t grade out as a first-round QB for me with his lack of playing experience, but someone will likely take a shot in the first round. The Rams may be the ideal scenario where Simpson can sit behind Matthew Stafford.
If Simpson has some time to improve his ability to read a defense and identify pre-snap adjustments, he could become an NFL and fantasy starter. Simpson’s underrated athleticism makes him an intriguing fantasy option in the right system. Sean McVay’s system would be ideal.
30) Denver Broncos: Christen Miller, DL, Georgia
Miller would help keep the Broncos defensive front strong. Miller flashed pass-rush leverage and run-stopping ability but still has room to grow physically.
31) New England Patriots: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
The Patriots O-line was the undoing of their Super Bowl. Though OT Will Campbell will stick at LT, Lomu could replace Morgan Moses on the right side and help keep Drake Maye upright.
32) Seattle Seahawks: Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
Hood proved he could be a No. 1 CB this season while filling in for the injured Jermod McCoy. Continuing to build onto the strong defense should help the Seahawks continue contending for Super Bowls.
