Buy These 4 Injured WRs in Dynasty

Four wideouts are hurt, forgotten, or written off, but that’s exactly why they’re worth targeting. From a fallen superstar to future WR1s, these injury discounts can reshape your dynasty roster.

Buy These 4 Injured WRs in Dynasty

You Should Be Trading for Injured Players, Not Avoiding Them

Season-ending Injuries often create trade value. Losing a player for the whole season leaves a hole on a contending team’s roster.

If they want to win the championship, trading that injured player can deliver a boost.

Even injured players slated to return this year can come at a discount if those contending teams get impatient.

If you’re struggling to stay in playoff contention, trading for players on IR can be an even faster way to compete next year.

If you want to escape the dynasty purgatory, the middle ground between contending and rebuilding, strategize to add cheaper, injured talent.

Per 4for4, WRs are more likely to return to past production after a season-ending injury than RBs.

Our Trade Value Chart shows how prices have dipped for many WRs this season following injuries. This creates a gap between value and production if they are likely to make a full recovery.

They’re Done for the Year. That’s When You Buy.

Players on IR for the year won’t help contending teams win the league. This is your chance to take advantage.

        Malik Nabers, New York Giants

        Headshot of Malik Nabers

Nabers tore his ACL in Week 4 against the Chargers and is set for surgery this week.

He’s been banged up often during his short NFL career. He missed two games last year with a concussion and has dealt with several training camp injuries (ankle, toe, and shoulder).

Nabers’ talent, though, is undeniable. He set the NFL record for receptions by a rookie WR with 109 last year despite missing those two games.

He started 2025 solidly, posting 16-251-2 over the first four games. His precise route running allows him to get open on every type of route, a skill that should continue to serve him well when he returns in 2026.

Nabers didn’t get a chance to play with rookie QB Jaxson Dart this year, but the two will be paired going forward. If Dart develops into a competent passer, Nabers could eventually rise to WR1 overall in dynasty.

The opportunity to acquire an elite young WR rarely comes around in dynasty leagues. That makes this an ideal time to try to get Nabers from a contender.

How to Land Nabers While His Value’s Down

If Nabers’ manager remains in contention despite the injury, now is the time to strike.

He fell about 20 points on our Dynasty PPR Trade Value Chart after the ACL tear, dropping behind WRs such as Nico Collins and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Nabers currently holds a value of 70.

If you’re rebuilding, trading one of those WRs -- or even an RB like De’Von Achane or Jonathan Taylor -- for Nabers strengthens your team long term.

Those trades should appeal to contenders while helping you score fewer points and move up in next year’s rookie draft.

        Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins

        Headshot of Tyreek Hill

The dynasty outlook for Hill appears bleak:

        • Dislocated knee with multiple torn ligaments
        • Turns 32 before next season
        • Facing potential suspension for domestic abuse allegations

Because his game depends heavily on speed, recovery could be slow. The Dolphins also hold an out in his contract after this season, making it likely Hill joins a new team in 2026.

Hill was already falling in our dynasty rankings due to age. By 2026, he’ll be six years past the position’s traditional production peak, based on our historical aging-curve research.

The reason to buy Hill now is his low cost.

How to Take a Cheap Shot on Hill

Even if the odds are slim that Hill returns to elite form, there’s still a chance he finds a late-career resurgence on a new team. The good news: that chance comes cheap.

Managers with Hill will likely be eager to recoup any value they can. His injury dropped his value by 15 points on our Dynasty PPR Trade Value Chart.

WRs such as Romeo Doubs or Rashid Shaheed are worth offering for the upside of Hill rebounding for a year or two. The same goes for RBs such as D’Andre Swift or Tyjae Spears.

If Hill doesn’t return to form, you haven’t paid much. If he does, you gain a potential starter just as your team enters its contention window.

Don’t Wait for the Comeback. Beat It.

Players returning this year haven’t had their values dip quite as far, but they can still come at a discount.

        CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

        Headshot of CeeDee Lamb

Lamb suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Bears. He has missed three straight games and could miss another this week.

After averaging 8-111-0 over the first two weeks, Lamb was on track for one of the best fantasy seasons of his career. Instead, he’s been sidelined on the benches of contending teams that may be getting anxious after a few losses.

That makes this an ideal time to buy Lamb, even if you’re contending.

Despite the injury being short-term, Lamb dropped eight points on our Dynasty PPR Trade Value Chart, slipping from WR2 to WR4.

It’s not a massive fall, but any price dip makes the 26-year-old worth a look.

The Art of Timing: When and How to Buy CeeDee Lamb

Lamb won’t come cheap. But moving a young RB like Jahmyr Gibbs or Ashton Jeanty for him could be tempting for a contender.

Trading an RB for a WR often pays off long-term due to positional longevity. Lamb sits in prime age range for the position and could propel your WR corps for years.

If the Lamb manager hesitates, stay patient. The window might reopen once he returns.

According to a study by Matthew Betz, 68% of RBs and WRs failed to meet their pre-injury fantasy averages in their first game back from high ankle sprains.

If Lamb struggles in his return, send your offer again. Persistence could land you an elite WR at a slight discount.

        Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

        Headshot of Christian Watson

Watson tore his ACL last Week 17 against the Bears. He was never expected to be ready for the start of 2025 but has begun practicing and could return soon.

The former second-round pick has a lengthy injury history, particularly with his hamstrings. The Packers spent last season focused on fixing those issues, managing those issues, and keeping him healthy (the unfortunate ACL turn).

Green Bay drafted WR Matthew Golden in the first round, sending Watson’s fantasy value tumbling. Still, the Packers showed continued interest by signing him to a one-year extension that keeps him under contract through 2026.

Watson’s athleticism makes him an intriguing stash for dynasty rosters. Taking chances on talented, inexpensive players is often the best way to churn the bottom of your roster.

How to Buy Christian Watson Before the Market Wakes Up

Watson currently holds a value of 13 points on our Dynasty PPR Trade Value Chart, roughly equivalent to a mid-third-round pick in 2026.

Players such as DJ Giddens and Isaac Guerendo sit at similar values and are worth moving for Watson’s upside.

WRs such as Joshua Palmer and DeMario Douglas offer limited short- and long-term potential, yet both are valued higher than Watson. That discrepancy creates an easy buy-low opportunity for savvy dynasty managers.
