Broncos RB RJ Harvey delivered one of the most efficient fantasy days of the 2025 season in Sunday’s win over Dallas. The rookie took 7 carries for 46 yards and 2 TDs, adding a 5-yard TD on his lone target.
What They're Saying
Here’s OT Mike McGlinchey on Harvey after the win (via Denver’s official site):
"He's a huge part of what we're doing offensively, and it was a huge breakout game for him. You knew that was coming."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Let’s start with the usage.
Three of Harvey’s eight touches came in the fourth quarter with the game already decided. Overall, he continued to lag behind J.K. Dobbins in snap rate (28% to 54%) and carry share (28% to 60%). The pair split routes evenly in Week 7, but Dobbins held the edge (30% to 47%) on Sunday.
Now, keep in mind that Harvey played a disappointing Dallas defense. But any three-score day is notable for a RB.
First, he scored on a pitch off left tackle from 40 yards out. Harvey set up his blocks and wasn’t even touched en route to the end zone.
Next, he scored at the goal line when he took a direct snap right up the gut. Finally, Harvey dusted LB Shemar James as the RB ran horizontally out of the backfield. Bo Nix hit him in stride for the easy score.
Harvey’s success shouldn’t take away from J.K. Dobbins’ performance. He posted 15 carries for 111 yards, good for 7.4 yards per attempt. He didn't score but was stuffed on attempts from the 2 and 1 yard-line.
The former Raven remains a RB2 with his current usage. Meanwhile, Harvey's low-volume role makes him a flex play. Next up is a Houston defense that's done well to curb efficiency to RBs in 2025.
