The NFL has suspended Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase one game for spitting on Steelers DB Jalen Ramsey in Sunday's game. We'll see whether Chase appeals, but video caught him committing the act. So it's tough to envision this one getting overturned.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
That'll mean no Chase for Sunday's home date with the Patriots, especially bad news for a Cincinnati offense that managed only 192 passing yards even with Chase against Pittsburgh.
Tee Higgins obviously elevates to lead-target status, with Andrei Iosivas as the No. 2 WR. Mitch Tinsley has worked next, but that included a mere seven total snaps Sunday and six targets all season.
We could also see more multiple-TE sets against the Patriots. Three Bengals TEs played 22-32 snaps against the Steelers, and all three ran 16-17 pass routes. Noah Fant has led that group with Mike Gesicki out; Tanner Hudson follows.
RB Chase Brown's probably the best bet to join Higgins as the top 2 in targets, and they're the only decently attractive fantasy options for Week 12 in Cincinnati.
Other Winners & Losers
Flacco's coming off easily his worst outing with the Bengals -- 199 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT -- and figures to land comfortably outside our top 12 QBs with no Chase.
The star WR has caught just 2 of Flacco's 12 TD passes for Cincy, but he has accounted for large shares of the other categories:
- targeted on 33.8% of Flacco's pass attempts
- 34.8% of Flacco's completions
- 33.5% of Flacco's passing yards
