Jaylen Waddle Headshot

Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle left practice early yesterday with a left leg injury (“muscle tightness” according to HC Sean Payton). The good news is that Waddle was on the sideline during practice today in a jersey and shorts. But, Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports recorded a video of the bad news. Waddle had his left leg in a sleeve and was walking with a slight limp. The injury could still be minor, but it gives us some useful information.

What They're Saying: Encouraging Sight, Not Full Go

Zac Stevens, DNVR Sports: “Jaylen Waddle is at Broncos practice but not participating. An encouraging sign to see him after he left practice yesterday with muscle tightness.”

Cameron Wolfe, NFL Network: "Jaylen Waddle has been doing rehab drills on side field today Slight limp from my eyes but doing hopping and light run drills with Nik Bonitto. Seems like no concern for Week 1 for either but limiting them in practice for time being."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Don't Panic, Monitor Closely

We still aren’t concerned about the injury lingering into the season, though the limp video gives more concern than yesterday.

Payton updated the media today and said that Waddle would return in 4-5 days. He added that Waddle worked with trainers on side field today with black sleeve on left leg.

Don’t overreact just yet, but we will continue monitoring news about Waddle’s injury.

Waddle remains at WR19 in our PPR WR Rankings.
