Javonte Williams Headshot

Javonte Williams is ripping off big runs in training camp after last year's career season in Dallas, according to Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas News. Hoyt later added, “Don’t think the Cowboys need to see too much of him in this preseason.”

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Workhorse Role Still Intact

After four seasons with the Broncos, Williams signed with the Cowboys last offseason. That proved to be the right decision, as he enjoyed a career high 15.2 PPR points per game, which was good for a top-12 finish at the position.

It was the first time in Williams’ career that he was given more than 55.0% of the team’s rush attempts, resulting in him improving his career-high rushing PPG by more than 5.0. While he also accounted for 3.8 PPR PPG as a receiver out of the backfield.

After he signed a three-year, $24 million contract extension with the Cowboys in February, there’s no reason to believe the usage will be funneled any less to Williams. The breakaway training camp runs serve as further confirmation.
