Denzel Boston Headshot

Browns WR Denzel Boston led the team with 89 yards on 4 receptions in Thursday night's win over the Steelers. The bulk of that damage came on a blown coverage in the second quarter that resulted in a 60-yard catch and run for the rookie. Boston's other catches went for 5, 9, and 15 yards. But he also had 3 other deep targets that didn't quite connect. Boston's 7 targets tied for second on the team and were a 21% share.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: His QB's Most Trusted Target

Amazon's Kirk Herbstreit said during the broadcast that he asked QB Deshaun Watson who he trusts most in key situations. His answer: Boston.

Boston has fallen behind WR K.C. Concepcion and TE Harold Fannin in targets, but he's still sitting on a solid 19% share through 4 weeks. He also leads Cleveland in routes, with a 100% route rate vs. the Steelers and at least a 93% route rate in all 4 games.

It was nice to see Boston make a few shorter catches against Pittsburgh. He's clearly the Browns' best deep threat, coming into Week 4 with a 15.7-yard average target depth and 4 deep targets. Those are valuable looks, but mixing in more short- and mid-range targets will help his week-to-week consistency.

With a solid role in what's been a competent Browns offense so far, Boston is looking like at least a WR4 in fantasy lineups. He'll be especially useful when byes start to hit.

Boston gets a fine Week 5 matchup vs. the Jets before a tougher Week 6 draw against the Ravens.
