Darnell Mooney Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney "likely" won't miss any games with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Commanders, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Atlanta has a well-timed Week 5 bye, and it sounds like Mooney's injury is minor enough that he should be ready for Week 6. He's gotten off to a slow start after missing all of August with a shoulder injury, but Mooney remains a full-time player in this offense when healthy. He's worth keeping stashed in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Commanders with a hamstring injury. He caught his only target for 15 yards before exiting. We'll update Mooney's status when we know more.

Update: Mooney has been ruled out.

Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. totaled only 135 yards on 13 of 21 passing in a Week 2 win over the Vikings. Atlanta surprisingly won by 16 – 22 to 6 – as they rode the run game and their defense to a victory.

Falcons WRs Drake London (shoulder) and Darnell Mooney (shoulder) are off the final Week 2 injury report. Both guys practiced all week, including full workouts on Friday. London carries a bit more risk in Sunday night’s game vs. the Vikings, but he’d be impossible to leave out of fantasy lineups after drawing 15 targets in the opener. We’d try to keep Mooney on fantasy benches in his 2025 debut. The availability of both WRs dings TE Kyle Pitts’ Week 2 outlook.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. We're tentatively projecting Mooney to play vs. the Vikings on Sunday night but will keep tabs on his status over the next few days.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Buccaneers. It’s a minor surprise after he put in three limited practices this week. Mooney doesn’t seem too far from a return, but his absence today leaves Atlanta thin on pass-catchers. Ray-Ray McCloud, KhaDarel Hodge, and Casey Washington will play behind alpha Drake London. TE Kyle Pitts could also pick up extra targets with Mooney out.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Buccaneers. He was limited in practice all week and will be a game-time decision, HC Raheem Morris said Friday. We're tentatively expecting Mooney to play, but he'd be a risky Week 1 fantasy start.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. HC Raheem Morris labeled him "day to day" but didn't commit to Mooney playing vs. the Buccaneers this weekend. "Looking good," Morris said. "He was moving around and doing some things yesterday. We’ll see." We'll keep you updated on Mooney's status leading up to the opener, but he's better off on fantasy benches this week.

Falcons HC Raheem Morris labeled WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) "day to day" on Monday. Mooney went down with a shoulder injury in late July but returned to practice on August 28 and participated in Monday's jogthrough. "I feel good about where he’s at," Morris said. "We’ll see towards the end of the week."

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney was back at practice for the first time since suffering his shoulder injury, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney remains sidelined with the shoulder injury he suffered on July 24. HC Raheem Morris said Tuesday that Mooney is "week to week" with no clear timetable for return.
