San Francisco continues to be ravaged by WR injuries, with Mike Evans (ribs) and KhaDarel Hodge (knee) iffy for Week 4 and potentially beyond. Cooks joins Deebo Samuel, Jacob Cowing, and Jordan Watkins as the healthy WRs on the active roster. The 33-year-old Cooks is no longer fit to be an offensive focal point, but he's a reliable veteran who could help the Niners passing game. We'll keep an eye on his role, but Cooks shouldn't be in Week 4 fantasy lineups and is only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

49ers GM John Lynch conceded on Thursday morning that WR Mike Evans (ribs) is iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos. "He is old school in his mindset and he doesn’t want to miss," Lynch said. "Mike will make every attempt and we’ll see where that goes." We'll keep you updated on Evans' status over the next few days, but fantasy managers should be making other plans for Week 4. Bills WR Josh Palmer (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's Wild Card game vs. the Jaguars. A weak Buffalo WR corps gets weaker. Behind Khalil Shakir, Brandin Cooks looks like the best bet for targets in the group. TE Dalton Kincaid could also be leaned on against a Jacksonville defense that has struggled defending TEs at times this season.

Bills WR Brandin Cooks tallied a game-high 101 yards on 4 catches in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. His six targets ranked second on the team and doubled his previous high through four games with the Bills. Cooks saw his largest playing-time share since arriving in Buffalo but remained in a heavy WR rotation.

Bills WR Josh Palmer (ankle) is inactive for today's game vs. the Steelers. WR Keon Coleman is back in the lineup, alongside WRs Khalil Shakir, Gabe Davis, Tyrell Shavers, and Brandin Cooks. Shakir is the only viable fantasy play here.

The Bills signed WR Brandin Cooks. The 32-year-old was dumped by the Saints last week after totaling 165 scoreless yards across 10 games. He was in a tough spot in a bad offense. But Cooks averaged a pathetic 0.58 yards per route and ranks 105th among 110 qualifying WRs in Pro Football Focus' receiving grades. It's a desperation move by the Bills that's unlikely to make a difference in real life or fantasy football. Leave Cooks on your waiver wire.

The Saints have agreed to a deal with WR Brandin Cooks, according to NFL Network. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's a two-year deal worth $13 million. That's a surprising amount for the current version of Cooks. DeAndre Hopkins and Mike Williams, for example, each signed one-year deals worth about $6 million with their new teams this offseason.
