Rapoport: Low-ankle sprain for Travis Kelce

By Jared Smola | Updated on Sun, 08 Oct 2023, 8:23 PM EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Chiefs TE Travis Kelce suffered a low-ankle sprain in the Week 5 win over the Vikings. That conflicts with insider Jordan Schultz's initial report that it's a high-ankle sprain -- but makes more sense considering Kelce was able to return to today's game with reasonable effectiveness. We'll look for further clarification on Kelce's status. The schedule won’t do him any favors with his Chiefs taking on the Broncos on Thursday night.
