Packers Acquire Malik Willis For Cheap

Malik Willis Headshot

The Titans traded QB Malik Willis to the Packers for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Willis was the 86th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft but flamed out quickly. He made three starts as a rookie, totaling 234 passing yards on 4.8 yards per attempt. He barely saw the field last year, attempting just five regular-season passes.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

That Willis fetched just a seventh-round pick in this trade tells you what the league thinks about him at this point. It's worth noting that he's coming off a solid preseason, completing 74% of his passes at 7.6 yards per attempt. But Willis is unlikely to ever develop the passing skills to be more than a backup.

His rushing ability will at least keep him in the league a while longer. Packers QBs Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt both disappointed this summer, so Willis is expected to step in as QB Jordan Love's backup.

Willis is obviously off the redraft radar and is droppable in most 1-QB dynasty leagues.
