Saints RB Kendre Miller will start the season on the IR list with the hamstring injury he suffered during training camp. Miller will miss at least the first four weeks of the season and could remain on IR longer if his injury persists.
Miller has drawn criticism from HC Dennis Allen for being unable to stay on the field with an injury again this offseason.
Last year, Miller suffered a knee, hamstring, and ankle injuries that cost him nine games.
This year, we are projecting Miller to miss the first four games of the season while on IR due to his hamstring injury.
If more information comes out about Miller, then we will update our projections.
Miller was a hot sleeper pick early this offseason after an excellent Week 18 performance for the Saints in 2023. Unfortunately, this injury has pushed him down to the bottom of the depth chart.
RB Alvin Kamara appears poised to take most of the RB work for the Saints now, with Jamaal Williams getting some of the short yardage and goal-line work potentially.
Allen has raved about Kamara's fit in the new offense and he could be in line for an RB1 season with QB Derek Carr checking down the ball.
It remains to be seen if Miller will come back and be in the fold for carries.
A loaded supporting cast, improved QB play, and offensive continuity set the stage for Atlanta to deliver serious fantasy value in 2025.
