Daniel Jones Racks Up 3 TDs

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw a pair of TD passes and ran for a score in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. Jones rushed seven times for 54 yards, including a 2-yard TD in the fourth quarter. He added 174 yards passing, with no INTs, 2 sacks taken, and one fumble.

Jones' two passing scores unconventionally found blocking TE Chris Manhertz from 2 yards out and rookie TE Theo Johnson for a 35-yard catch-and-run play.

The rushing upside's always there for Jones. But this marked his first ground TD of the season. His yardage has been up lately, though, with three games of 38+ yards among his past five outings.

I'm not sure there's much to take forward from this game, though it was nice production from Jones against a Washington D that has proved tough lately.

He gets a much better matchup with Carolina in Week 10 and the second-best QB-scoring schedule the rest of the way.
