Derek Carr Typically Meh in Return

Saints QB Derek Carr went just 18-of-31 passing for 236 yards Sunday against the Panthers, after missing the previous three games with an oblique injury. He threw for 1 TD -- to TE Foster Moreau -- but didn't turn the ball over.

It obviously didn't help Carr to lose WR Chris Olave to a concussion in the first quarter of this one. He'll likely miss Olave for at least Week 10.

This was the third game among his past four appearances in which Carr threw 1 TD pass or fewer. He has reached 240 passing yards just once and has yet to hit 250.

Carr faces just one bad scoring matchup the rest of the way, but he has to give us reason to start him in 1-QB fantasy lineups. Until that happens, he's just a superflex/2-QB option.
