Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield completed 17 of 23 passes for 256 yards and 2 scores in Sunday's win over San Francisco. Mayfield added 14 rushing yards for a decent fantasy day, despite several adverse developments.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Consider this: The Bucs lost Emeka Egbuka near the midway point of the game with a hamstring injury. They already entered without Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (fibula).
Tampa Bay also fired off only 50 offensive plays – well below the league average.
Still, Mayfield delivered with a 74% completion rate and 7.5 yards per attempt.
His scores went to backup WRs Tez Johnson and Kameron Johnson. He hit Kameron along the sideline just before heavy pressure arrived. Later, he uncorked a 45-yard deep ball to Tez, who fully extended for an impressive grab.
We’ll see about the status of the top-three WRs entering a Week 7 date with the Lions' banged-up defense. But there’s at least optimism around Mike Evans returning to practice. His return would certainly help stabilize Mayfield’s QB1 value.
