Week 10 FanDuel Cash-Game Picks
Top Plays for Head-to-Head and 50/50 Contests
Quarterback
Geno Smith, Seahawks ($6,900) vs. Commanders
Don’t look at Smith’s game logs. (Doing so might scare you off him…)
Sure, he’s taken a step back from his 2023 level of play. But that doesn’t mean Smith can’t capitalize on an excellent home matchup.
Implied for 25.5 points, Smith draws a Commanders pass defense allowing the third most fantasy points to the position. He shouldn’t deal with a fearsome pass rush, either, following the trades of Chase Young and Montez Sweat. Washington checks in 21st in PFF pass-rush grade.
Also consider: Sam Howell
Running Back
Tony Pollard, Cowboys ($7,800) vs. Giants
If you’ve been burned by Pollard, well … I know how you feel.
Still, that shouldn’t prevent you from going back to the 26-year-old against a Giants defense missing DL Leonard Williams. Overall, New York’s allowed 109 rushing yards and 1.2 RB scores per game.
Unsurprisingly, Dallas is implied for a huge number – 28 points. Pollard looks like one of the week's best TD bets.
Joe Mixon, Bengals ($7,800) vs. Texans
Mixon's scored in back to back games, while his high-volume role hasn't disapeared. Over the past four games, Mixon’s racked up a whopping 84 opportunities (carries + targets).
He figures to stay busy with Tee Higgins out and Ja’Marr Chase (back) banged up. Mixon also catches the Texans dealing with a number of injuries.
Entering the weekend, the Bengals are implied for 26.75 points as 6.5-point home favorites.
Also consider: Aaron Jones, Bijan Robinson, James Conner
Wide Receiver
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions ($8,600) at Chargers
St. Brown comes off the bye to face a Chargers defense slotted 29th in in FanDuel points allowed to WRs.
Detroit’s go-to pass catcher has reached 100 yards in three straight and in five his past six. The Lions also get a boost in projected play volume, with Los Angeles ranking eighth in situation-neutral pace.
Tyler Lockett, Seahawks ($6,800) vs. Commanders
The Commanders allow the fifth most receiving yards and second-most receiving scores per game to WRs.
Lockett comes in $500 cheaper than D.K. Metcalf, despite out-producing him in yards and TDs per game. Lockett's also reached 8+ targets in three of his past four contests.
Tyler Boyd, Bengals ($6,200) vs. Texans
Boyd figures to be popular this week given Tee Higgins’ absence. Ja’Marr Chase also enters the weekend as questionable, although my hunch is he’ll play.
Consider Boyd “good chalk.” Joe Burrow’s health has clearly turned a corner, and he’s proved it with two strong post-bye games. The Houston matchup isn’t daunting, either. They sit 26th in pass DVOA, while top CB Derek Stingley (questionable, hamstring) should spend most of his time on Chase, if active.
Also consider: Terry McLaurin, Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Godwin, Tank Dell
Tight End
Trey McBride, Cardinals ($5,100) vs. Falcons
Kyler Murray will make his 2023 debut on Sunday. He’ll do so with Zach Ertz still sidelined.
It’s reasonable to expect Murray to show some rust in his first game back from an ACL tear, but we ultimately see him as an instant passing upgrade on Josh Dobbs. McBride’s combination of usage (full-time snaps, 30 targets over his past four) and the matchup (Atlanta sits 21st in FPs allowed) suggest he can pay off a cheap salary.
Also consider: Dalton Schultz
Defense
Buccaneers ($4,000) vs. Titans
Also consider: Saints
