NFL DFS Picks for Tournament and GPP Play
Quarterback
Josh Allen, Bills ($9,000) vs. Cowboys
Ownership projection: 12%
Allen leads the slate in ceiling projection by a fairly wide margin.
He’s not cheap at $9K, but he actually checks in second in our $/point calculations.
Odds are, his volume will remain strong against a surging Cowboys offense. Buffalo already ranks fourth league-wide in pass-rate over expected and is coming off a week in which they ranked second.
Also consider: Brock Purdy
Running Back
Derrick Henry, Titans ($8,300) vs. Texans
Ownership projection: 9%
Henry’s six TDs lead the league over the past three weeks. On the year, he’s fourth in RB carries; third in rushing yards.
A Texans offense missing C.J. Stroud and Nico Collins should allow Henry to feature prominently in the game plan. As of Saturday morning, the Titans are installed as 3-point home favorites against a Texans squad also missing key EDGE Will Anderson.
Aaron Jones, Packers ($6,200) vs. Buccaneers
Ownership projection: 2%
Jones is certainly a high-risk play. In fact, entering the weekend, it’s not yet known if he’ll return from a knee injury.
But if he does, I think the price and matchup line up nicely. And the Packers might give Jones more work than they want if A.J. Dillon (broken thumb) is forced to sit.
Tampa Bay will also be without DLs Vita Vea and William Gholston.
Also consider: Christian McCaffrey, Raheem Mostert, Rachaad White
Wide Receiver
Cooper Kupp, Rams ($8,200) vs. Commanders
Ownership projection: 7%
The Stafford-Kupp connection flashed its 2021 form last week. Kupp snagged 8 of 10 targets for 115 yards and 1 score.
Back healthy – at least for now – I’ll buy Kupp’s high-end upside remaining against a lousy Washington secondary. The Commanders have surrendered 15+ FD points to a WR in four straight and in five of their past six.
Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins ($7,000) vs. Jets
Ownership projection: 19%
It’s hard to avoid Waddle as an upside WR, despite the difficult matchup vs. New York.
Tyreek Hill missed practice Wednesday-Friday, putting his status for Sunday into question. Even if active, the 29-year-old figures to be limited.
That’ll put Waddle in a spot with 10+ target upside. Note that he dropped 8-114 on the Jets in Week 12.
Brandin Cooks, Cowboys ($6,300) at Bills
Ownership projection: 3%
Here's a way to gain exposure to one of the highest over/unders on the slate (50.5).
Dallas' WR2, Cooks is coming off a game in which he finished a clear second in snaps (63) and routes run (38). He's flashed downfield ability, posting his highest aDOT (13.0) since 2019.
Now he gets a thinned-out Bills secondary missing S Micah Hyde.
Also consider: Mike Evans, Brandon Aiyuk, Drake London, Terry McLaurin, Gabe Davis, Rashid Shaheed

Tight End
Tucker Kraft, Packers ($4,700) vs. Buccaneers
Ownership projection: 12%
Last week, Kraft’s snap share reached 95% for the third straight week. He’s compiled ten targets over his past two, and the absence of Christian Watson should keep his volume in an appealing range.
That’s especially true for a full-timer at a dirt cheap price. And the matchup helps, too. Tampa Bay’s injury report shows several key defenders either out or in question, adding upside to Kraft’s outlook.
Also consider: George Kittle
Defense
Falcons ($4,500) vs. Panthers
Ownership projection: 7%
Also consider: Titans
