Week 17 FanDuel Cash-Game Picks

By Kevin English | Updated on Mon, 11 Mar 2024 . 4:19 PM EDT

Top Plays for Head-to-Head and 50/50 Contests

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($7,900) vs. Dolphins

Nothing fancy here. Jackson leads all QBs in $/point projection while sitting third in ceiling projection.

Baltimore’s also implied for 25 points at home. Jackson, meanwhile, has reached 20 FD points in four of his past five.

Also consider: Baker Mayfield

Running Backs

Rachaad White, Buccaneers ($7,900) vs. Saints

The Bucs have fed White 20+ carries in four straight. That’s helped produce at least 16 FD points in each matchup.

The Saints sit mid-pack in fantasy points allowed. They also supply a nice matchup for play volume, sitting fifth in situation-neutral pace.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Chiefs ($6,500) vs. Bengals

The Chiefs are implied for the fourth-highest total on the main slate (25.5). CEH has a shot to lead the backfield after Isiah Pacheco suffered a concussion Monday night.

He's surprisingly questionable for this game. If Pacheco plays, then Edwards-Helaire obviously becomes a much worse play -- perhaps still a tournament consideration, though, with Jerick McKinnon on injured reserve.

Also consider: Christian McCaffrey, D’Andre Swift, Devin Singletary

Wide Receivers

Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers ($7,500) at Commanders

Aiyuk edges out Michael Pittman as the top $/point WR. The 49er also sits fifth in ceiling projection.

His Week 17 setup is nearly perfect, with Aiyuk facing a Commanders pass D that’s performed as one of the league’s worst.

Here’s one interesting point of reference. Per Fantasy Points’ data, Washington’s defense has run zone on 65% of pass plays. In those situations, they’ve surrendered a league-high .48 fantasy points per dropback, noticeably ahead of Denver and Arizona (0.43).

Rashee Rice, Chiefs ($7,400) vs. Bengals

Rice’s grip on the Chiefs’ WR1 role has only tightened in recent weeks.

He’s hit 9+ targets in five straight, a stretch that includes an average of 15 FD points per outing. Given several RB injuries, the Chiefs could easily tilt toward the pass against Cincinnati.

DeAndre Hopkins, Titans ($6,700) at Texans

Will Levis is expected to return from a one-game absence. Across eight appearences, he’s fed Hopkins 8.5 targets per outing. That’s enticing volume at a discount price.

The Texans have some key injuries to watch on defense, including to CB Steven Nelson.

Also consider: Chris Olave, Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba (if D.K. Metcalf sits)

Tight End

Trey McBride, Cardinals ($6,800) at Eagles

McBride looks like a bounce-back candidate against Philly.

For starters, there’s target safety. McBride’s tallied 7+ targets in six consecutive games.

Plus, we know Marquise Brown will remain out with a heel injury.

Arizona figures to lean pass in this one, too. Entering the weekend, they’re installed as 10.5-point road underdogs. Opposing offenses have already chosen to attack Philly through the air, collectively posting the third-highest pass-rate over expected.

Also consider: Isaiah Likely

Defense

Broncos ($3,700) vs. Chargers

Also consider: Falcons
