Week 2 FanDuel Cash-Game Picks
Top Plays for Head-to-Head and 50/50 Contests
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($7,600) at Bengals
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jackson priced so low. Sure, he struggled in the opener. But it marked game No. 1 with Todd Monnken calling the plays. And Mark Andrews didn’t suit up.
While we might see more growing pains from the new offense, Andrews – who has a chance to return – would smooth out the transition.

Running Back
David Montgomery, Lions ($6,300) vs. Seahawks
Montgomery tallied 21 of 28 team RB carries in the opener vs. Kansas City. He saw the bulk of the goal line work, only once subbed out following back to back carries.
You know Jahmyr Gibbs will handle the receiving work. Montgomery, though, projects as one of the week’s top TD bets. Plus, a lack of receiving involvement doesn’t hurt Montgomery as much in FanDuel’s .5 PPR format.
This matchup is just fine, too. Detroit is implied for 26 points – tied for third-most on the slate.
Joshua Kelley, Chargers ($6,300) at Titans
This is strictly a volume play, assuming Austin Ekeler (ankle) sits out.
Kelley earned 16 carries last week vs. Miami. He’ll be in a good spot to match that number on Sunday with the Chargers likely to play a close game.
Tennessee doesn’t look like a matchup to avoid, either. They ranked 23th in Pro Football Focus rush defense grade in the opener. The offseason brought on the loss of run-stopping LB David Long.
Also consider: Derrick Henry, Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce, A.J. Dillon
Wide Receiver
Stefon Diggs, Bills ($8,000) vs. Raiders
Diggs went off for 10 grabs, 102 yards, and 1 score in a tough matchup with the Jets. He was targeted on 28% of his routes, one of the top marks among WRs for Week 1.
And that was with Josh Allen playing one of his worst games over the past few seasons…
Back at home, Diggs enters an excellent matchup with a Raiders squad rolling out a trio of CBs in Marcus Peters, Nate Hobbs, and rookie Jakorian Bennett.
Davante Adams, Raiders ($7,500) at Bills
Here’s a Week 2 “free square.”
Adams’ historically low pricing coincides with an absent Jakobi Meyers (concussion).
The former Packer landed on the injury report this week, but he was upgraded to full participation on Thursday and will play.
Treylon Burks, Titans ($5,400) vs. Chargers
DeAndre Hopkins missed three straight practices, so I’m guessing he sits out.
That’ll elevate Burks in a matchup that could easily find Tennessee trailing. Currently, they’re installed as 3-point home underdogs.
We’ll need much improved play from Ryan Tannehill for Burks to pay off. But I anticipate a rebound following his Week 1 implsosion. Of course, at $5.4K, Burks doesn’t need a Hopkins-like performance to pay off.
Also consider: Ja’Marr Chase, Tutu Atwell (if Puka Nacua sits)
Tight End
Luke Musgrave, Packers ($5,000) at Falcons
In Week 1, Musgrave ran a route on 92.3% of Jordan Love’s dropbacks – an excellent mark for a TE.
His 4 targets amounted to a decent 15% target share.
Looking ahead, Musgrave’s role could grow with both Christian Watson and Aaron Jones likely to miss Sunday’s game. Atlanta also surrendered 5-41-1 to Hayden Hurst in his Panthers debut.
Also consider: Sam LaPorta
Defense
Cowboys ($4,500) vs. Jets
For some odd reason, Dallas is sixth in D/ST pricing.
At home.
Against Zach Wilson.
After dominating the Giants.
Even if they’re high-owned, that’s no reason to dodge the Dallas D in cash.
Also consider: Colts
