Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said Friday that RB Ken Walker continues to deal with foot soreness. Walker has been on and off the field in training camp for the past two weeks and has been held out of Seattle's first two preseason games. Macdonald suggested earlier this week that Walker was on a load-management program, but it appears the foot issue has cropped up again.
Our antennas are definitely up for this one. The Seahawks have been downplaying Walker's foot issue, but it's now been lingering for at least two weeks.
Walker does not have any previous history of foot trouble, but he's missed 10 games through three NFL seasons with an assortment of injuries, including five games with three separate ankle injuries.
We'll continue to keep a close eye on this situation. We're not moving Walker in the RB rankings right now -- but that could change if he's still sidelined in a week.
