Jordan Addison’s Return Sparks Justin Jefferson

Vikings WR Jordan Addison returned from suspension posting a 4-118-0 stat line on eight targets. An 81-yard catch by Addison on a broken fourth quarter play should have been a score, but he was run down by Steelers LB Payton Wilson. The biggest winner of Addison’s return was WR Justin Jefferson who went off for a 10-126-0 day on 11 targets. As the return of J.J. McCarthy approaches, the WR duo for the Vikings showed they can still carry the passing game.

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Addison’s day was carried by the long near TD, but played 96% of snaps. It was great usage for his first game back and makes him a potential flex play in easier match-ups (especially when McCarthy returns).

It also helped thin out the Steelers coverage giving Justin Jefferson an opportunity. He ended 2024 with at least 11 targets in three of his last four games. Through the first three weeks, he averaged 6.75 targets per game.

The Vikings being behind helped with a 70% pass rate in the game, but it does show how Jefferson can still hit his fantasy ceiling.
