Giants WR Darius Slayton drew a team-high five targets in his return Sunday from a two-week hamstring report. He caught two of them for 26 yards but probably should have added a 6-yard TD in the fourth quarter. Slayton made the catch and scored, but the play got negated by a questionable (to be friendly) offensive PI call.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Slayton ranked second among Giants receivers in total snaps and tied Lil'Jordan Humphrey for second at the position in routes. Slayton (and Humphrey) ran 22 routes -- 71% of Jaxson Dart's 31 dropbacks -- according to Pro Football Focus.
That trailed only WR Wan'Dale Robinson and TE Theo Johnson (30 routes apiece).
Slayton has seen his two largest snap counts of the season in the two games he has played since Malik Nabers went down. The $12 million-a-year extension he signed last offseason should mean a healthy Slayton moves back ahead of Humphrey in work and opportunity.
Slayton and the Giants get a negative matchup for WR scoring with the 49ers in Week 9, but they get the 10th-best WR-scoring schedule beyond that, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed.
Slayton will either be a key contributor to Dart improving his downfield passing efficiency, or his fantasy value will suffer from a lack of improvement in that area.
