Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer (elbow) out for Sunday’s game against the Jets. LB Matt Milano (oblique) is questionable. He put in a limited practice Friday after missing the first 2. We’ll check his status Sunday mornin
Bills S Jordan Poyer (elbow) and LB Matt Milano (oblique) missed Wednesday's practice. According to The Buffalo News, HC Sean McDermott said afterward that each player is "day to day." That indicates each has a chance to play this week, so we'll track their practice participation. NFL Network had reported "week to week" for Poyer, who is probably at greater risk than Milano of missing Sunday's game against the Jets.
Bills HC Sean McDermott said Monday that the team plans to activate CB Tre'Davious White from the PUP list ahead of Wednesday's deadline. "He'll remain day-to-day, and not really going to get into speculating on whether he's going to play this week or not," McDermott said, per ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg. "We're just going to continue to take it day by day like we've done to this point." White has been getting some work in with the team since Week 6. We'll see this week how close he is to game action.
Bills S Jordan Poyer left in the 4th quarter of Sunday night's win over the Packers after hurting his left elbow. He said afterward that it "felt like a pop," according to the Buffalo News. Poyer also said he'll have an MRI today. We'll see about the severity. It's the same elbow Poyer hurt in training camp, costing him the entire preseason. He said this injury feels different. Jaquan Johnson stepped in after Poyer left.
Bills HC Sean McDermott said ahead of Wednesday's practice that CB Tre'Davious White would be returning to the field this week but that he won't play in Sunday's game against the Chiefs. White has been on the PUP while continuing to work back from last season's ACL tear. We'll see when he's ready for game action.
Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds (hamstring) is inactive for today's games against the Steelers. Tyrel Dodson should be the fill-in. DT Ed Oliver (ankle) is active.
Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. He missed practice all week and seems like a risky IDP option even if active. DTs Ed Oliver (ankle) and Jordan Phillips (hamstring) are also questionable.
The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer out for Sunday's game against the Steelers because of his rib injury. S Damar Hamlin started in place of S Micah Hyde last week and should remain in the lineup. We'll see who replaces Poyer, who didn't miss a snap in the Week 4 win over Baltimore. Jaquan Johnson started next to Hamlin in Week 3, when Buffalo last went without both starting safeties. He looks like the best bet to join Hamlin again. We'd try to look elsewhere for IDP options in most cases.
Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) and CB Dane Jackson (neck) are active for today's game against the Ravens. DT Ed Oliver (ankle) is inactive.
Bills CB Dane Jackson (neck), DT Ed Oliver (ankle) and S Jordan Poyer (foot) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. All 3 missed last week's contest but put in limited practices throughout this week. DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) is out for the 2nd straight game.
As expected, Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) is officially inactive for today's game against the Dolphins. That leaves Buffalo without its 2 starting safeties -- Micah Hyde (neck) for the rest of the year -- plus CB Dane Jackson.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) is not expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins. That would leave Buffalo without both starting safeties and CB Dane Jackson. That’s rough for a matchup with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle
The Bills are placing S Micah Hyde on IR after he suffered a herniated disc in his neck in Monday night's win over the Titans. He's done for the season, but Hyde's agent says they expect a full recovery for 2023. Jaquan Johnson looks like the next man up at safety for Buffalo. Hyde's absence presents a challenge for a defense facing WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle this week.
The Bills have ruled S Micah Hyde (neck), CB Dane Jackson (neck), DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) and Ed Oliver (ankle) out for Sunday's game in Miami. S Jordan Poyer (foot) is also questionable. That's a large chunk of the starting defense and could soften the matchup for Miami offensive players. You should already have been planning to start Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, though. The injuries give a slight boost to QB Tua Tagovailoa, who we've had on the fringe of starter territory in our QB rankings. We'll check Poyer's status Sunday morning.
