Devin Singletary Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills RB Zack Moss is a healthy scratch for tonight's game vs. the Saints. Buffalo will roll with RBs Devin Singletary and Matt Breida. "I think it'll be a 1A/1B situation unless someone gets hot," The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia wrote, labeling Singletary the 1A. In a matchup vs. the league's top-ranked RB defense, consider Singletary and Breida just RB3 or flex options.

Bills RB Zack Moss (concussion) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He figures to continue splitting backfield work with Devin Singletary, leaving both guys as just RB3 or flex plays.

Bills RB Zack Moss has cleared the concussion protocol, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Barring a setback, Moss will be available for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He had been operating as Buffalo's lead back but was out-carried 5 to 3 by Devin Singletary before exiting last week's loss to Jacksonville. Moss and Singletary both look like RB3s with upside vs. the Jets tomorrow.

Bills RB Zack Moss (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jets. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia notes that Moss was not wearing a non-contact jersey on Friday, so he seems to be making good progress through the protocol. We’ll see whether he can get full clearance in time for Sunday’s game. If not, Devin Singletary would be Buffalo’s clear lead back -- and a RB2 in fantasy lineups.

Bills RB Zack Moss (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Jets this weekend. Moss' absence would put Devin Singletary in the RB2 mix.

Bills RB Matt Breida is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. Washington. It'll be Devin Singletary and Zack Moss in Buffalo's backfield.

Bills RB Zack Moss is active for today’s game against the Dolphins. HC Sean McDermott said this week that Moss was scratched for the opener after dealing with injuries during August -- but that he had a good week of practice leading up to this one. We’ll see how big a role Moss plays, but he shouldn’t be in Week 2 fantasy lineups. His return lowers RB Devin Singletary’s fantasy floor and ceiling, though.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said Friday that RB Zack Moss was inactive for the opener because he struggled with injuries in training camp. Moss missed a little less than a week with a hamstring issue but was otherwise fine as far as we know. McDermott added that Moss "looked good" in practice this week. It sounds like there's a chance he's active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. But we still wouldn't be using him in fantasy lineups.

11:09am EDT 9/12/21

Bills RB Zack Moss is a surprise inactive for today's game against the Dolphins. We'll see whether he was injured in pregame warmups or is a healthy scratch. Either way, it'll be Devin Singletary and Matt Breida in Buffalo's backfield today. Singletary now looks like a solid Week 1 fantasy play.

Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says Moss is not injured.

Bills RB Devin Singletary got the start in Saturday's preseason finale and played all 12 snaps on the 1st possession. RB Zack Moss ended up leading the backfield with 16 snaps with QB Josh Allen, though. Singletary played 15 and RB Matt Breida 7. Breida, interestingly, played 6 of those 7 snaps in the slot or split out wide. This is looking like at least a 2-man, and potentially a 3-man committee heading into Week 1.

Bills RB Devin Singletary played all 10 snaps on the team’s 1st possession of Saturday's preseason game vs. the Bears. He ended up out-snapping RB Zack Moss 21 to 12 with what amounted to the 1st-team offense. Singletary took 2 carries for 21 yards, highlighted by this impressive TD. Moss finished with 4 carries for 21 yards. It’s possible that Buffalo wanted to limit Moss’ snaps after he missed a few days with a hamstring injury in mid-August. But it’s also possible that Singletary opens the season as the lead back. We've adjusted our projections for the Bills backfield.

Per Bills HC Sean McDermott, RB Zack Moss won’t practice on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury suffered in Tuesday’s practice. The team will approach Moss’ injury “one day at a time.” The missed time will give more first-time reps to Devin Singletary and Matt Breida. We’ll let you know when Moss returns to the practice field.

Bills RB Zack Moss has "consistently been the best running back at training camp," according to The Athletic's Matthew Fairburn. "From what we’ve seen, Moss should have a path to a bigger role this season. But [OC] Brian Daboll is intent on dividing carries and riding the hot hand, so it’s too soon to push the panic button on [Devin] Singletary." This will be a committee backfield in 1 of the league's pass-heaviest offense, so there's not a ton of fantasy production to be mined here. But Moss continues to look like a better bet than Singletary.

Sal Maiorana of the (Rochester, N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle says his “hunch is that [Zack] Moss is going to become the No. 1 back, but his snap count will remain pretty close with [Devin] Singletary.” That seems to be the general feeling and lines up with where their ADPs have run. Singletary might be the better best-ball value in the later rounds, but we tend to prefer Moss’ ceiling. Don’t target either too early in your drafts

Bills RB Zack Moss has worn a red, non-contact jersey throughout offseason practices, per team beat writer Matt Parrino. It’s a reminder that he’s still working back from January ankle surgery. If he’s a full-go for training camp, Moss will be in a good spot to lead this backfield in touches ahead of Devin Singletary and Matt Breida.

Update: Per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, Bills HC Sean McDermott said the team is "looking forward to getting Moss back for training camp for drill work." McDermott added that Moss has done a "phenomenal job" with rehab.

Bills RB Zack Moss left Saturday's win over the Colts with an ankle injury and is expected to miss some time, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. It remains to be seen just how long, as we await an official diagnosis. Obviously, it'll also depend some on how far the Bills advance. We'll watch for updates. In the meantime, Devin Singletary gains fantasy upside.

Bills WR Cole Beasley, WR John Brown, RB Devin Singletary and TE Dawson Knox are all inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Don’t expect to see much of QB Josh Allen or RB Frank Gore. Top CB Tre’Davious White is also inactive for Buffalo.
