Josh Jacobs Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ran for just 43 yards on 10 carries in Sunday's shutout loss at New Orleans. Jacobs added 4 targets but caught only 2 for 11 yards on a dreadful offensive day for Las Vegas. QB Derek Carr threw for only 101 yards, with no TDs and 1 INT before giving way to Jarrett Stidham in garbage time. Jacobs also gave way late in the game to RB Ameer Abdullah, who finished with 5 targets (all in the 2nd half). We're not worried about Jacobs off this outing.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (foot) was upgraded to full participation in Friday’s practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 8 injury report. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday but should be ready for more workhorse usage vs. the Saints on Sunday.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (foot) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We haven't heard any concern about his status for this weekend's game vs. the Saints, but check back Friday afternoon for another update on his status.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (foot) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He seemed to make it out of last week's win just fine, so this is likely more of a rest day after he handled another 23 touches vs. Houston. Jacobs should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Saints, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ran for 143 yards and 3 TDs on 20 carries in Sunday's win over the Texans. He added 3 catches for 12 yards on 4 targets. This marked 3 straight games of 20+ attempts and more than 140 rushing yards for Jacobs. He should be in your starting lineups until he proves otherwise.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ran for 154 yards and a TD on 21 carries in Monday night's narrow loss to the Chiefs. He added a team-high 5 catches for 39 yards. That landed Jacobs 3rd among RBs in PPR scoring for the week. He now sits 4th at the position for the year. His 26 total opportunities (carries + targets) at K.C. constituted 83.9% of the Raiders' total RB opportunities for the game. Jacobs ranks 6th among RBs in team opportunity share for the season.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs went off in Week 4, torching the Broncos for 144 yards and 2 scores on 28 attempts. With 5 catches (6 targets), Jacobs actually set a career-high with 34 opportunities. Vegas never trailed after the 1st quarter, so his passing-game usage is encouraging. He’s actually caught 5 balls in back to back games. On the ground, Jacobs continued to make the most of his opportunities behind a surprisingly-effective O-line. He’s now up to 4.8 YPC through 70 carries. The contract-year back will look to keep rolling Monday night at Kansas City.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs shook off an illness that rendered him questionable for Sunday's game and again dominated backfield work. He handled 13 of Las Vegas' 16 RB carries and beat Brandon Bolden 6-2 in targets. Bolden was the only other RB to see the field. He trailed Jacobs by 20 total snaps and 9 routes. Jacobs ran for a decent 66 yards on his 13 attempts and caught 5 balls for 31 yards. He narrowly missed reaching the end zone on a 2nd-quarter run that set up Davante Adams' short TD catch.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He didn't practice on Thursday or Friday – and then traveled to Tennessee by himself yesterday. But he evidently felt good enough in pregame warmups to play.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (illness) will play vs. the Titans today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jacobs evidently felt good enough after working out pregame. There's still a chance that he's unable to handle a full workload today after missing practice on Thursday and Friday with an illness.

NFL Network's Steve Wyche hears that Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (illness) will work out prior to today's game vs. the Titans. He'll then presumably decide whether he can play after missing practice on Thursday and Friday. We'll get Vegas' inactives around 11:30 am ET. Jacobs might be at risk of a limited workload if he suits up. If not, the Raiders would be down to RBs Zamir White, Brandon Bolden and Ameer Abdullah.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Raiders RB Josh Jacobs did travel to Tennessee on Saturday but remains questionable for Sunday’s game. This is obviously a positive development for Jacobs, but we’ll have to see about his status Sunday

We already passed along that Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is questionable for Sunday's game because of an illness. According to multiple reports, he's not joining the team in traveling from Vegas to Nashville on Friday. That doesn't necessarily alter his outlook, but it does point to the significance of his illness. And the fact that he's not traveling initially certainly doesn't seem like good news for his chance of playing. Make sure you're not counting on Jacobs playing Sunday, and we'll watch his status over the weekend.
