Le'Veon Bell Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

RB Le'Veon Bell said Tuesday that he won't be playing football this season because he's shifting his focus to boxing. Bell made the announcement at a press conference to promote his match with Adrian Peterson at the end of this month and says he plans to box beyond that. Although he only addressed the coming football season, it's tough to imagine the 30-year-old finding NFL opportunities beyond that. Bell totaled just 39 carries and 7 targets across stints with the Ravens and Buccaneers last season.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. With RB Leonard Fournette still on IR with his hamstring injury, Tampa is down to RBs Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Le’Veon Bell. We’re expecting a committee attack, with Vaughn leading in carries and Bell in targets.

Bucs RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn suffered a rib injury in the 4th quarter of Sunday's win over the Jets, HC Bruce Arians said. Tampa lost RB Ronald Jones to an ankle injury earlier in the game, leaving Le'Veon Bell as the team's top RB. We’ll look for updates on Vaughn and Jones on Monday.

The Bucs are set to sign RB Le'Veon Bell, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Bell appeared in 5 games for the Ravens earlier this season -- and looked washed up, mustering just 2.7 yards per carry. The Bucs are expected to be without RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) for the rest of the regular season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, so Bell provides some depth. He might immediately slot in ahead of RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn. But Bell isn't a threat to RB Ronald Jones and won't be a fantasy option without a Jones injury.

The Ravens released RB Le'Veon Bell. The 29-year-old is clearly out of gas, averaging 2.7 yards across 31 carries for Baltimore. Devonta Freeman has emerged as the Ravens' clear lead back over the past few weeks. We'll see if RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is able to return for this Sunday's game vs. the Bears.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Vikings. Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and Ty'Son Williams will again share backfield duties. It’s a messy situation for fantasy football.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. He didn't practice all week and is obviously unlikely to play. That'll again mean a 3-headed backfield of Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and Ty'Son Williams. It's a situation to try to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Believed to be dealing with a high-ankle sprain, Murray is looking unlikely to play vs. the Vikings this weekend. That'd again leave the backfield to RBs Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and Ty'Son Williams.

Ravens RB Ty'Son Williams is active for today's game vs. the Bengals. It'll be Williams, Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell in the backfield today, with RB Latavius Murray out with his ankle injury.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is out for this weekend’s game against the Bengals. RBs Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell and Ty’Son Williams figure to be active for Baltimore on Sunday. Exactly how touches will be divvied between them is uncertain. Freeman tallied 9 carries and 2 targets last week vs. Bell’s 8 carries and 0 targets. Williams was a healthy scratch.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. There's been no update from the team on his injury, but Dr. David Chao believes Murray has a high-ankle sprain based on video review. If that's the case, Murray won't play vs. the Bengals this weekend. That'd leave the backfield to Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and potentially Ty'Son Williams.

Ravens RB Ty'Son Williams is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Chargers. Baltimore will roll with RBs Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell. Murray is the best fantasy bet in this plus matchup.

Ravens RB Ty'Son Williams is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Broncos. Baltimore is going with RBs Latavius Murray, Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman. Murray is expected to lead the way and is a RB3 or flex option.

Latavius Murray will be the Ravens' "lead back" against the Broncos today, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Murray led the backfield with 7 carries last week vs. Ty'Son Williams' 5 and Devonta Freeman's 3. RB Le'Veon Bell is also expected to be active today. This is a messy backfield that is best off avoided in Week 4 fantasy lineups.

8:23pm EDT 10/2/21

The Ravens activated RB Le'Veon Bell from the practice squad. He's eligible to play vs. the Broncos tomorrow. We'll see if Baltimore has Bell, Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman active for that one. Williams remains the best fantasy bet -- but Bell's presence makes his profile a bit shakier.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo believes there's a "shot" RB Le'Veon Bell makes his Ravens debut against the Broncos tomorrow. Baltimore has been using Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman the past 2 weeks. It's unclear where exactly Bell would fit in the pecking order. He's certainly not a Week 4 fantasy option but is a decent stash in deeper fantasy leagues.

The Ravens promoted RB Devonta Freeman to the active roster. He gets the call over RB Le'Veon Bell, at least for this week. We're projecting the pecking order in the backfield vs. Kansas City to be Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray and then Freeman -- but we'll continue to keep a close eye on this backfield.

The Ravens won't be activating RB Le'Veon Bell or Devonta Freeman from the practice squad ahead of tonight's game against the Raiders. They instead elevated CB Anthony Levine Sr. and DL Justin Ellis to help cover injuries at those positions. That leaves Ty'Son Williams as the expected lead back vs. Vegas, with Latavius Murray and Trenton Cannon behind him.
